Petr Rada
Petr Rada (born 21 August 1958) is a Czech football coach and former player. He represented Czechoslovakia internationally in the 1980s and managed the Czech Republic national football team between 2008 and 2009. He is well known for his arguments with fans or trainer colleagues and also for impulsive style of coaching. Before being named national team manager in July 2008, Rada worked as an assistant for then national team coach Karel Brückner from 2006 to 2008, and also as an assistant to Jozef Chovanec from 1998 to 2001 when Chovanec was manager of the Czech national team. Rada has also been head manager of eight various Czech clubs: FK Teplice (on four separate occasions), FC Viktoria Plzeň, FK Jablonec, FC Slovan Liberec, SK Slavia Prague, FC Vysočina Jihlava, Příbram and Sparta Prague. FC Vysočina Jihlava is a football club from Jihlava, Czech Republic, which currently plays in the Czech National Football League, after relegated from the Czech First League, the top football competition in the Czech Republic in 2017–18 season. 2017–18 Czech Cup
The 2017–18 Czech Cup, known as the MOL Cup for sponsorship reasons, wass the 25th season of the annual knockout football tournament of the Czech Republic. It began with the preliminary round in July 2017 and is due to end with the final in May 2018. The winner of the cup will gain the right to play in the group stage of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. Czech Cup
The Czech Cup ( cs, Pohár FAČR), officially known as the MOL Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the major men's football cup competition in the Czech Republic. It is organised by the Czech Football Association. The Czech Cup was first held in 1961. The winner would then face the winner of the Slovak Cup in the Czechoslovak Cup final. This competition was discontinued in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia into two independent states (Czech Republic and Slovakia). The winner gains entry to the following season's UEFA Europa League. Filip Rada
Filip Rada (born 5 September 1984) is a Czech football player, who currently plays for FK Dukla Prague as a goalkeeper. He is the son of former national team coach Petr Rada. Career Early career Rada started his footballing career at Sparta Prague, going out on loan in his younger years. He joined Bohemians 1905 in the Bohemian Football League on a year-long loan in 2005, keeping a clean sheet in his first ever match in the Czech third tier. However Rada played just four league matches before moving on loan to Břevnov of the same league in October 2005, where he remained for the rest of the 2005–06 season. 2006–07 Czech Cup
The 2006–07 Czech Cup was the fourteenth season of the annual football knock-out tournament of the Czech Republic. It began on 22 July 2006 with the preliminary round and concluded with the final on 24 May 2007. Jozef Chovanec
Jozef Chovanec (born 7 March 1960) is a Czech former professional football player and manager. Playing career As a player, Chovanec spent almost his whole career at Sparta Prague. In 1988, he moved to the Netherlands, to play briefly for PSV Eindhoven. He played for Czechoslovakia and was a participant in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Coaching career As a football manager he coached the Czech Republic from 1998 to 2001. He managed to qualify his team to Euro 2000 but then failed to do so for the World Cup 2002, being eliminated by Belgium in the play-off matches two times by 1–0. On 8 October 2008, Chovanec returned to AC Sparta Prague for his fourth spell as manager and parted from the club in December 2011. Karel Brückner
Karel Brückner (; born 13 November 1939, Olomouc) is a Czech retired football coach. Playing career Brückner played as a forward in the lower leagues for MŽ Olomouc, at levels between the Regional Championship and the Second League. He made two appearances for Baník Ostrava in the Czechoslovak First League during the 1970–71 season. Coaching career Brückner began his coaching career in 1973 with his home club SK Sigma Olomouc, before moving to FC Zbrojovka Brno, who he led in the Czechoslovak First League in the 1981–82 and 1982–83 seasons. He later went on to coach Inter Bratislava with which he won the Slovakia Cup in 1985. He was appointed coach of the Czech Republic national under-21 football team in 1997 and the side finished second at the 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
