Petr Ondrašík
Petr Ondrašík (born 8 October 1951 in Brezolupy, Czechoslovakia) is a former Czechoslovak international motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 26 caps for the Czechoslovakian national speedway team. Career Ondrašík reached the World Final four times. He finished runner-up three times in the Czech speedway Championship. He rode in the United Kingdom for the Wolverhampton Wolves (1980), Eastbourne Eagles (1983) and the Birmingham Brummies (1983). Family Petr, the father of former Trelawny Tigers rider Pavel Ondrašík, is now an international referee. Chorzów ( ; ; german: link=no, Königshütte ; szl, Chorzōw) is a city in the Silesia region of southern Poland, near Katowice. Zdeněk Kudrna (born 2 September 1946 in Čisovice, Czechoslovakia - died 1 June 1982) was an international speedway rider who reached he Speedway World Championship final in 1979. Jiří Štancl
Jiří Štancl (born 18 November 1949 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Czechoslovakia. Career Štancl reached the final of the Speedway World Championship on nine occasions between 1971 and 1984, finishing a career best 9th in 1982 Individual Speedway World Championship, 1982 in Los Angeles. He won the Czechoslovakian National Championship twelve times, has appeared in the Speedway World Team Cup, World Team Cup finals on seven occasions and in the Speedway World Pairs Championship finals seven times. Borås
Borås ( , , ) is a city (officially, a locality) and the seat of Borås Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 66,273 inhabitants in 2010. 1984 Individual Speedway World Championship
The 1984 Individual Speedway World Championship was the 39th edition of the official World Championship to determine the world champion rider. Without former champions Ivan Mauger, Ole Olsen, Peter Collins, Michael Lee, and Bruce Penhall, the 1984 World Final, held for the eighth time at the Ullevi Stadium in Göteborg, Sweden, was seen by some as the battle of the second tier riders. Though history would ultimately prove the first and second placed riders as among the best Motorcycle speedway has ever seen, winning every World Final between them until the end of the 1980s. Dane Erik Gundersen won his first Speedway World Championship from countryman Hans Nielsen who defeated American Lance King in a run-off for second and third places. Ullevi, sometimes known as Nya Ullevi (, ''New Ullevi''), is a multi-purpose stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.
