Petr Franěk
Petr Franěk (born 6 April 1975 in Most) is a Czech former ice hockey goaltender. Career Franěk was drafted in the 8th round, 205th overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, but never played in the National Hockey League. He played in North America in the International Hockey League for the Quebec Rafales, Utah Grizzlies and the Las Vegas Thunder and also spent two seasons in the American Hockey League for the Hershey Bears. He then moved to Germany to play one season with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers before moving back to the Czech Republic where he played for HC Energie Karlovy Vary and HC Slavia Praha. He joined the Iserlohn Roosters in 2006, serving as a backup to Dimitrij Kotschnew. Nürnberg Ice Tigers
The Nürnberg Ice Tigers are a professional ice hockey club located in Nuremberg, Germany. They play in the country's premier league, the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. History The roots of the team can be traced back to SG Nürnberg, an ice hockey club that played in the 2nd Bundesliga from 1958 until it was closed in 1980 due to financial issues. Las Vegas Thunder
The Las Vegas Thunder were a professional ice hockey team competing in the International Hockey League. The team's home rink was at the Thomas & Mack Center. They began play in the 1993–1994 season, folding on April 18, 1999. The demise of the franchise was precipitated by the refusal of UNLV officials to negotiate with team owners regarding a new agreement to continue playing at the Thomas & Mack Center after the 1998–1999 season. Without a facility that was suitable even for temporary use, the Thunder were forced to shut down. Dimitrij Kotschnew
Dimitrij Kotschnew (born July 15, 1981) is a Kazakhstani-born German former professional ice hockey goaltender. Kotschnew played six seasons for the Iserlohn Roosters over two spells. From 2004 to 2007, he served as their starting goaltender. He has also played in the Kontinental Hockey League. He returned to Germany in 2012, signing for the Hamburg Freezers. The Iserlohn Roosters are a professional ice hockey team based in Iserlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia. They are members of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) since 2000 and play their home games at the Eissporthalle Iserlohn which is also known as ''Eissporthalle am Seilersee''. The team made the playoffs three times in its first 15 seasons in the DEL.
