Petit Paradis (French language, French: ''Little Paradise'') is a town in the Léogâne Arrondissement in the Ouest (department), Ouest Departments of Haiti, department of Haiti. 2010 Haiti earthquake A tsunami wave three metres or higher hit the beach shortly after the 12 January 2010 earthquake killing several residents. The area was subsided and a large portion of the beach remained submerged. Ouest ( French) or Lwès (Haitian Creole; both meaning "West") is one of the ten departments of Haiti and located in Centre-Sud of the country linking the Great-North and the Tiburon Peninsula. French Language

Tsunami
A tsunami ( ; from ja, 津波, lit=harbour wave, ) is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake.
