Peter Weiß
Peter Weiß (born 12 March 1956) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Baden-Württemberg from 1998 until 2021. Early career From 1985 until 1993, Weiß worked in various capacities for the German chapter of Caritas Internationalis. From 1993 until 1998, he was the managing director of the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg. Political career Weiß first became a member of the Bundestag in the 1998 German federal election, representing the Emmendingen – Lahr district. Throughout his time in parliament, he served on the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs. In addition to his committee assignments, he served as deputy chairman of the German-Brazilian Parliamentary Friendship Group. Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet") is the German federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. It is comparable to the United States House of Representatives or the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. Andrea Maria Nahles (born 20 June 1970) is a former German politician who has been the director of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) since 2022. Nahles is best known for having served as leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) from April 2018 until June 2019 and the leader of the SPD in the Bundestag from September 2017 until June 2019. She served as a Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs from 2013 to 2017 and SPD Youth leader. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (; Kramp; born 9 August 1962), sometimes referred to by her initials of AKK, is a retired German politician who served as Minister of Defence from 2019 to 2021 and as Leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) from 2018 to 2021.
