Peter Roth (born January 30, 1961) is a German former alpine skier who competed for West Germany in the 1988 Winter Olympics and for Germany in the 1992 Winter Olympics and in the 1994 Winter Olympics. Peter Roth (born 1950) is an American television producer, who served as the chairman & chief executive officer of Warner Bros. Television Studios starting in 1999. In 2020, it was announced that Roth would leave the studio in 2021. Career Roth graduated from Tufts University in 1972 and began his television career in 1976 as manager and later director of children's programs and VP of current programming for ABC. He then worked as president of Stephen J. Cannell Productions for six years, before joining 20th Television in 1992. Between 1996 and 1999, he was president of Fox, and then moved over to Warner Bros. Television, where he has been president ever since. He began his overall deal at Warner Bros. with ''Will & Grace'' writers David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. Peter Roth (Hebrew: פיטר רוט; born on September 17, 1974) is an Israeli singer and record producer, and a member of the Israeli rock band Monica Sex. Biography Roth was born in Bat Yam to a musician couple. His father, a member in an Israeli army band, taught Peter to play the guitar at a young age. Roth played basketball in high school, but he wasn't tall enough to be good at it; he then took music lessons instead. Roth was a member of a few teenage bands, in which he met Shachar Even-Tzur. In the middle of the 90s, Roth joined Monica Sex, which already included Even-Tzur, Yahaly Sobol and Yossi Khamami. The band had many performances in Tel Aviv, garnered a following, and signed a contract with Hed Artzi. In 1995 the band released the album '' Ptzaim Veneshikot'' (Wounds and Kisses), which sold a few tens of thousands of copies. In 1996 the band moved to New York City. Sir Peter Marcel Roth is a British High Court judge. Education Educated at St Paul's School, London, Roth read history at New College, Oxford, and obtained the degree of LLM from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1977. Career Roth was a member of Monckton Chambers, a set of barristers' chambers specialising in commercial and competition law, located in Gray's Inn and founded by Walter Monckton, 1st Viscount Monckton of Brenchley. He was called to the bar at Middle Temple in 1977 and elected a Bencher in 2008. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1997, a deputy judge of the High Court from 2008 to 2009, and judge of the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division) in 2009. He received his customary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in February 2010. In 2013, Roth was appointed President of the Competition Appeal Tribunal. He retired from the position in 2021.
