Peter McDonald Premiership
The Peter McDonald Premiership is a New South Wales, Australia rugby league competition. The competition commenced in April 2022. The competition incorporates the former Group 10 Rugby League, Group 10 and Group 11 Rugby League, Group 11 competitions by implementing a first past the post system to award silverware to the clubs who win the respective historic competitions. The top four from each conference will then compete in the Finals with the overall Western Conference winners progressing to the two week state Presidents Cup (Rugby League), NSWRL Presidents Cup finals against the Newcastle Rugby League, Northern (Newcastle), Illawarra Rugby League, Southern (Illawarra) and Ron Massey Cup, Ron Massey Cup (Sydney) conferences to crown the state semi-professional club champions. New South Wales Rugby League
The New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) is the governing body of rugby league in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory and is a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission. It was formed in Sydney on 8 August 1907 and was known as the New South Wales Rugby Football League (NSWRFL) until 1984. From 1908 to 1994, the NSWRL ran Sydney's, then New South Wales', and eventually Australia's top-level rugby league club competition from their headquarters (or "Bunker" as it was nicknamed during the Super League war) on Phillip Street, Sydney. The Parkes Rugby League Football Club (nicknamed the Spacemen) is a rugby league club that plays in Group 11. The Spacemen gained media attention when they recruited a number of Fiji national rugby league team players prior to the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. Nickname Parkes is a regional town of nearly ten thousand people located near the middle of New South Wales, with its economy based on farming and mining. Apex Oval, also known as Caltex Park is a sports ground located in the city of Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. The ground is managed by the Dubbo City Council and is located within the East Dubbo Sporting Complex. Opened in 2005, the Bruce Neads Memorial Grandstand has spectator seating for 1,340, as well as function rooms and other facilities. The ground has lighting and a capacity of around 11,500.
