Peter McCormick
Peter David Godfrey McCormick OBE (born 27 June 1952) is an English lawyer. He is the Senior Partner of McCormicks Solicitors of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. He was educated at Ashville College and King's College London (LLB, 1973). He was awarded the OBE for services to charity on 1 January 2000. He was awarded the Order of Mercy, in July 2016, by the League of Mercy Foundation, for outstanding voluntary service. Ranked as one of the top sports lawyers in the country, he is best known as the Chairman of the Legal Advisory Group of the Premier League and Chairman of the League's Football Board. In August 2015, he was unanimously elected by the 20 Premier League Clubs to be a Director of the Football Association (FA), a member of the FA Council, the FA Professional Game Board and the FA International Committee. League Of Mercy Foundation
The League of Mercy was a British foundation established in 1899 by royal charter of Queen Victoria. The goal of the organisation was to recruit a large number of volunteers to aid the sick and suffering at charity hospitals. It was disbanded at the establishment of the National Health Service in 1947, with its royal charter subsequently surrendered. In its lifetime it collected a total of £850,000, £600,000 for London Hospitals and £250,000 for rural 'cottage hospitals' with subscriptions being as little as a shilling (12p) a year for servants and tradespeople. In 1999, the League of Mercy Foundation was established to recognise and reward volunteers. Gregory Allison Clarke (born 27 October 1957) is an English businessman and football administrator, who was chairman of The Football Association from 4 September 2016. He resigned on 10 November 2020 after making offensive comments while talking to MPs. He was elected as the Vice President of FIFA on 7 February 2019 and resigned from this role on 12 November. Ashville College
Ashville College is a co-educational independent school for both day and boarding pupils aged 2–18 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Churches. It incorporated Elmfield College, Heworth, York and New College, Harrogate in the 1930s. The school maintains a Methodist ethos but is open to non-Methodists and to those of non-Christian religions. The college accepted girls in 1982 and is fully co-educational.
