Peter Keeley (British Screenwriter)
Peter Keeley (born 1983 in Crumpsall Hospital) is a British screenwriter and author. He is the creator of the television series '' I'm with Stupid'', which aired on BBC Three, and for his book series ''The London Road Mysteries.'' Early life Keeley grew up in Crumpsall, Manchester, and wrote his first play ''The Role Model'' at the age of 14. The play focused a disabled boy who struggles to cope with various issues. He received the Scope Millennium Award to develop the play which was performed at Contact Theatre in Manchester where Keeley worked as a wheeling usher. More Plays and Stand Up/Sit Down comedy were all to follow, all written by Keeley. Education Keeley went to Manchester Metropolitan University where he studied English and Creative Writing. Crumpsall Hospital
North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) is a large NHS hospital in Crumpsall, North Manchester, England. It is operated by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. There is an accident and emergency unit, together with a maternity unit, high dependency unit and a mental health wing. A long-awaited plan to rebuild the hospital was announced publicly by Boris Johnson in the 2019 General Election campaign, and in November 2020 a £54 million funding bid for improvement works was made by the Trust, the city council and Manchester Health and Care Commissioning. London Road Fire Station, Manchester
London Road Fire Station is a former fire station in Manchester, England. It was opened in 1906, on a site bounded by London Road, Whitworth Street, Minshull Street South and Fairfield Street. Designed in the Edwardian Baroque style by Woodhouse, Willoughby and Langham in red brick and terracotta, it cost £142,000 to build and was built by J. Gerrard and Sons of Swinton. It has been a Grade II* listed building since 1974. In addition to a fire station, the building housed a police station, an ambulance station, a bank, a coroner's court, and a gas-meter testing station. The fire station operated for eighty years, housing the firemen, their families, and the horse-drawn appliances that were replaced by motorised vehicles a few years after its opening. Manchester Metrolink
Manchester Metrolink (branded locally simply as Metrolink) is a tram/ light rail system in Greater Manchester, England. The network has 99 stops along of standard-gauge route, making it the most extensive light rail system in the United Kingdom. Metrolink is owned by the public body Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and operated and maintained under contract by a Keolis/ Amey consortium. Mobility Scooter
A mobility scooter is an electric vehicle and mobility aid mostly auxiliary to a power wheelchair but configured like a motorscooter. When motorized they are commonly referred to as a power-operated vehicle/scooter, or electric scooter. Non-motorized mobility scooters are less common, but are intended for the estimated 60% of wheelchair users who have at least some use of their legs. Whilst leg issues are commonly assumed to be the reason for using scooters, the vehicles are used by those with a wide range of conditions from spinal to neurological. Channel M was a regional television station, serving Greater Manchester. The station, originally known as ''Manchester Student Television'', was owned and operated by the GMG Regional Media division of Guardian Media Group.
