Peter Hanson (racing Driver)
Peter Daniel Hanson (born 4 October 1977) is a Swedish former professional golfer who played on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. Early life Hanson was born in Svedala, in Skåne county in the south of Sweden. He was first introduced to the game by neighbors and started playing at Bokskogen Golf Club, where he was coached by club professional Jan Larsson. Amateur career Hanson was a member of the Swedish team at age 19, finishing fourth, at the 1997 European Amateur Team Championship at Portmarnock Golf Club, Ireland. As an amateur, he won three times on the professional Swedish Golf Tour in 1997 and 1998. In 1998, he also won the Brabazon Trophy at Formby Golf Club. After representing Sweden at the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy in Santiago, Chile, Hanson turned professional. 1998 Eisenhower Trophy
The 1998 Eisenhower Trophy took place 19 to 22 November at Club de Golf Los Leones and Club de Golf La Dehesa in Santiago, Chile. It was the 21st World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 52 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played at Club de Golf La Dehesa on the third day and at Club de Golf Los Leones on the final day. Great Britain and Ireland won the Eisenhower Trophy for the fourth time, finishing four strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Australia. Chinese Taipei took the bronze medal with Japan in fourth place. Finland led after three rounds but a poor last round dropped then into fifth place. Philip Alfred Mickelson (born June 16, 1970), nicknamed Lefty, is an American professional golfer who plays for LIV Golf. The Scandinavian Masters is an annual golf tournament on the European Tour played in Sweden. In 2020 the tournament became co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour and rebranded as the Scandinavian Mixed, in which both male and female golfers compete. The 2008 European Tour was the 37th golf season since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The season began in November 2007 and consisted of 50 official money events, a drop of two from the previous year. This included seven major championships and World Golf Championships, which are also sanctioned by the PGA Tour. 27 events took place in Europe, 11 in Asia, six in the United States, four in South Africa, one in Australia and one in New Zealand. The Order of Merit was won by Robert Karlsson, the first Swedish golfer to do so. It was founded in 1912 and has been part of the European Tour's schedule since the inception of the Tour in 1972. The season began with three tournaments held in late 2004 and consisted of 47 official money events, which was a new record total. Gunther Hamburg Classics
Gundaharius or Gundahar (died 437), better known by his legendary names Gunther ( gmh, Gunther) or Gunnar ( non, Gunnarr), was a historical king of Burgundy in the early 5th century. Gundahar is attested as ruling his people shortly after they crossed the Rhine into Roman Gaul. He was involved in the campaigns of the failed Roman usurper Jovinus before the latter's defeat, after which he was settled on the left bank of the Rhine as a Roman ally. In 436, Gundahar launched an attack from his kingdom on the Roman province of Belgica Prima.
