Peter Fisher (born Péter Fischer; July 1929 – 18 March 2013) was a Hungarian people, Hungarian-born cinematographer, photojournalist. He died on 18 March 2013 at the age of 83. "One of the best-known photographers of the Jewish community." He was the most famous for photographs of the actress Jayne Mansfield, "whose visit to Peter's studio stopped traffic in the local streets as fans craned to see her." Peter Stanley Fisher (born 19 September 1936) is a former Australian politician. Born in Rainbow, Victoria, he attended Longerenong Agricultural College before becoming a farmer. In 1972, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Country Party member for Mallee. During his parliamentary career, Fisher served as Deputy Whip (1976-1980), Chief Whip (1980-1983) and Shadow Minister for Sport and Recreation (1983-1984). Fisher held the seat until 1993 (by which time his party had become the National Party). In 1979, the first Qantas Boeing 747 aircraft equipped with Rolls-Royce engines (registration VH-ECB) was named the 'City of Swan Hill' after the riverside Mallee town as a result of Fisher's lobbying efforts. Peter Fisher (May 19, 1944 – July 10, 2012) was an American author and gay rights activist. An alumnus of Amherst College and Columbia University, he served in the US Air Force prior to becoming an early member of the Gay Activists Alliance, a protest group that split off from the Gay Liberation Front after the Stonewall riots with the goal of "writing the revolution into law." Fisher led a number of the " zaps", or protests targeted at public figures, organized by the Gay Activists Alliance, as well as serving as an unofficial historian for the group. Describing Fisher, activist Bill Bahlman said, “Whenever he spoke at a GAA meeting, everybody listened. He could turn the debate on an issue around. Peter Fisher (9 June 1782 – 15 August 1848) was a historian and merchant in the British colony of New Brunswick. Fisher emigrated to New Brunswick from Staten Island, New York at 15 months of age. He was the son of United Empire Loyalist refugees of the American Revolutionary War who fled north in 1783. Fisher's family settled at St. Anne's Point on the Saint John River, which was an area set aside for the Loyalist military regiments. St. Anne's Point was later renamed Fredericton and designated the capital of the newly established colony. Fisher received a good education for the time and was married in 1807 and had eleven children. Peter Antony Goodwin Fisher, FRCP (2 September 1950 – 15 August 2018) was an English physician who served as physician to Queen Elizabeth II for 17 years.
