Peter Daicos
Peter Daicos (born 20 September 1961) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played his entire 250-game career with the Collingwood Football Club in the VFL/AFL. Daicos is considered one of the greatest-ever players in Australian Football history due to his brilliant 549-goal, 15-year career that earned him entry to the Australian Football Hall of Fame. His honours include the inaugural 1990 AFL Grand Final, 1990 AFL Premiership with Collingwood and the 1991 Goal of the Year (AFL), Goal of the Year. Nick Daicos (born 3 January 2003) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Daicos is the son of Peter Daicos, who played for Collingwood in the VFL/AFL, and the younger brother of Josh Daicos, who also plays for Collingwood. Father–son Rule
The father–son rule is a rule that allows clubs preferential recruiting access to the sons of players who have made a major past contribution to the club in Australian rules football, most notably in the Australian Football League. The rule was first established in 1949, and there have been more than ten amendments, most recently the refining of the draft bidding process in 2015. Josh Daicos (born 26 November 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Son of Peter Daicos, who played for Collingwood in the VFL/AFL, he played for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup before he was drafted with pick 57 in 2016 under the father–son rule. State football Daicos played junior football with Bulleen-Templestowe and the Greythorn Falcons, both part of the Yarra Junior Football League, as well as at his school, Camberwell Grammar. He entered the TAC Cup in 2016, playing for the Oakleigh Chargers. During the season, he kicked 11 goals in 10 games.
