2016 AFL Draft
The 2016 AFL draft consisted of the various periods where the 18 clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL) could trade and recruit players following the completion of the 2016 AFL season. Additions to each club's playing list are not allowed at any other time during the year. The key dates for the trading and drafting periods were: *The free agency offer period; held between 7 October and 19 October. Three further free agency periods were held for delisted players, between 1 November and 8 November, 10 November to 18 November, and 26 November to 27 November, *The trade period; held between 10 October and 20 October, *The 2016 national draft; held on 25 November, at the Hordern Pavilion, which included live bidding for academy and father-son selections. *The 2017 pre-season draft; which was to be held on 28 November, but was cancelled when all clubs declined to take part, and *The 2017 rookie draft; which was held on 28 November. Time In Australia
Australia uses three main time zones: Australian Western Standard Time (AWST; UTC+08:00), Australian Central Standard Time (ACST; UTC+09:30), and Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST; UTC+10:00). Adam Treloar
Adam Treloar (born 9 March 1993) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2012 to 2015 and the Collingwood Football Club from 2016 to 2020. Treloar won the Anzac Medal in 2018 and the Neale Daniher Trophy in 2019. He received a nomination for the 2012 AFL Rising Star award in round 18 of the 2012 season. Josh Walker (born 12 November 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who has played for the Geelong Football Club, Brisbane Lions and the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jarrad Jansen
Jarrad Jansen (born 2 May 1995) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions and was listed on the Geelong Football Club squad in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Geelong (2014–2015) Jansen was drafted in the 2013 AFL draft by , but he didn't play a game in the two seasons he spent there. He was drafted as a strong-bodied inside midfielder with the ability to go forwards, and spent his entire time with the club playing in the VFL. James Aish
James Aish (born 8 November 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Brisbane Lions from 2014 to 2015, and Collingwood from 2016 to 2019. Nathan Freeman (born 16 June 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League. He was drafted by Collingwood at pick 10 in the 2013 AFL national draft. He was then traded to the Saints in 2015 without having played an AFL game due to repeated injuries.
