Pete Gonzalez (boxer)
Pete Gonzalez (born July 4, 1974) is a former professional American football quarterback. He played collegiately for the Pittsburgh Panthers. College career Gonzalez was the starting quarterback for the University of Pittsburgh football team in 1997. In that year, he led the Panthers to a come-from-behind-victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Backyard Brawl 41–38 in double overtime. (It was the first season of the current overtime rules in college football, which was designed to eliminate tied games.) He subsequently took Pitt to their first bowl game in eight years with an appearance in the Liberty Bowl. NFL career Gonzalez signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 1998. In the National Football League, training camp refers to the time before the season commences. During this time, teams sometimes congregate at an outside location, usually a university, to conduct training camp for at least the first few weeks. This is similar to baseball's spring training. Training camp is used in several different ways. New players and coaches use it to acclimate themselves to new teammates and systems. For younger players, it serves as a period of evaluation; for veterans, it is time to return to form. Training camp is divided into several different components. The first is scrimmages. Michael John Tomczak (born October 23, 1962) is a former American football player. Tomczak played quarterback for several NFL teams from 1985 through 1999, including the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers, the Cleveland Browns, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
