Perth Glory FC End Of Season Awards
The Perth Glory end-of-season awards are the individual awards won by players of Perth Glory FC, Perth Glory Football Club, an Australian Association football, soccer club based in Perth, Perth, Western Australia. The club's teams compete in the A-League Men, A-League Women and A-League Youth. These awards are presented annually at the club's presentation night following the completion of the A-League Men season. 2001–02 National Soccer League
The 2001–02 National Soccer League season, was the 26th season of the National Soccer League in Australia. Prior to the start of the season, Canberra Cosmos and Eastern Pride were removed from the competition, reducing the league to 13 teams. Andy Todd (footballer, Born 1974)
Andrew John James Todd (born 21 September 1974) is an English football coach and former player. As a player he was a centre-back who notably played in the Premier League for Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers, as well as in the Football League for Middlesbrough, Swindon Town, Grimsby Town, Burnley, Derby County, Northampton Town, Oldham Athletic and Hereford United. He also had several spells in Australia with Perth Glory and Armadale SC. Playing career Middlesbrough Born in Derby, Derbyshire, Todd attended Hermitage Comprehensive School (Chester le Street). He was initially a trainee at Middlesbrough and made his debut in 1992. 2009–10 Perth Glory FC Season
The 2009–10 Perth Glory FC season was the club's 13th season since its establishment in 1996. The club competed in the A-League for the 5th time. Perth Glory changed their logo and for the first time in their A-League history chose to include vertical purple and white stripes on their home kit this season. Season expectations were very high with Perth Glory's owner Tony Sage allowing manager David Mitchell (Australian association footballer), David Mitchell to sign High calibre players like former Bolton defender Andy Todd (footballer born 1974), Andy Todd and former Ajax midfielder Viktor Sikora who was on loan to Perth from FC Dallas the previous season. Adriano Pellegrino
Adriano Pellegrino (born 9 June 1984) is an Australian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Adelaide City. Biography Club career Pellegrino was with the NSL club Adelaide City between 2000 and 2003 before joining Adelaide United for the 2003-2004 NSL season. In 2005, he signed for Greek club Panachaiki before returning to Australia to play for South Australian Super League club Adelaide City in 2007. In 2008, he signed for A-League club Perth Glory FC. Nikolai David Topor-Stanley (born 11 March 1985) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as a centre back. The 2007–08 Perth Glory FC season was the club's 11th season since its establishment in 1996. The club competed in the A-League for the 3rd time. The Glory finished 7th in the 2007–08 A-League season, making them the worst Australian team in the A-League, for the second consecutive season. Given the team's promising pre-season performances, expectations at the club were to achieve a top 4 finish, or to at least significantly improve over the performance in the previous A-League season. After a poor start to the season, without a win after the first 11 games and Glory winless for 18 consecutive A-League matches, coach Ron Smith departed and assistant coach, David Mitchell took over for the rest of the season. David Tarka (born 11 February 1983 in Perth, Western Australia) is a retired Australian association footballer, who played two games for the national team. Club career Tarka was an Australian youth international and was an Australian schoolboy international in 1999. Tarka helped the Australia under 20 team qualify for the 2003 World Youth Championships in the UAE and played in the Australia under 23 team's 2004 Olympic Games Qualifiers. Tarka turned down a chance for a trial at West Ham in April 2003, instead staying in Australia to help Perth Glory win the NSL championship. Simon Colosimo (born 8 January 1979) is an Australian former soccer player who played as a centre back and defensive midfielder. He spent two years playing in Europe with spells in the Premier League with Manchester City and in the Belgian First Division for Royal Antwerp.
