2009–10 Perth Glory FC Season
The 2009–10 Perth Glory FC season was the club's 13th season since its establishment in 1996. The club competed in the A-League for the 5th time. Perth Glory changed their logo and for the first time in their A-League history chose to include vertical purple and white stripes on their home kit this season. Season expectations were very high with Perth Glory's owner Tony Sage allowing manager David Mitchell (Australian association footballer), David Mitchell to sign High calibre players like former Bolton defender Andy Todd (footballer born 1974), Andy Todd and former Ajax midfielder Viktor Sikora who was on loan to Perth from FC Dallas the previous season. The club also managed to secure Socceroos Jacob Burns (footballer), Jacob Burns, Mile Sterjovski and Chris Coyne. David Mitchell (Australian Association Footballer)
David Stuart Mitchell (born 13 June 1962) is a former professional association footballer who most recently worked as head coach of Malaysian Premier League club Kedah FA. A powerful striker, he is remembered as one of the pioneers for Australian players in Europe, appearing in the Bundesliga, the Eredivisie, Scottish Premier League, Süper Lig, as well as the top-flight and second tier in England. In Asia, he played for clubs in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Mitchell played for overseas clubs for more than a dozen years before returning to Australia to coach Sydney Olympic, Sydney United and Parramatta Power in the National Soccer League. Born in Scotland, he represented the Australia national team at international level. Tando Yuji Velaphi (born 17 April 1987) is an Australian professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Kochi United. Club career Early playing career Velaphi trained at the AIS in Canberra on a football scholarship. Perth SC (2006–2007) Velaphi began his senior career at Perth SC and while there, had loan stints at Newcastle Jets and Queensland Roar. Adriano Pellegrino
Adriano Pellegrino (born 9 June 1984) is an Australian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Adelaide City. Biography Club career Pellegrino was with the NSL club Adelaide City between 2000 and 2003 before joining Adelaide United for the 2003-2004 NSL season. Howard Fondyke
Howard Fondyke (born 5 January 1990) is an Australian footballer who played for Perth Glory and APIA Leichhardt. Career After playing in Perth's inaugural National Youth League team, Howard signed a 2-year contract prior to the 2009/10 season. He failed to play a single game in that campaign. Steven Thomas McGarry (born 28 September 1979) is an ex-professional Scottish footballer and former 1st team assistant coach at A-League Men side Perth Glory FC, the club McGarry last played for professionally. Wayne Srhoj (born 23 March 1982, in Mareeba) is an Australian footballer who plays for Mareeba Bulls FC in the Far North Queensland soccer zone. Victor Sikora
Victor Tadeusz Sikora (born 11 April 1978) is a Dutch retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Sikora began his career at the Go Ahead Eagles youth academy and worked his way into the first team, debuting as a 16-year-old.
