Personal Best (band)
Personal Best are an English punk band from Bristol. Founded by songwriter Robin Gatt in 2013, they have had several lineup changes in the time since. They have currently released two full-length albums; ''Arnos Vale'' (2015) and ''What You At'' (2019). History Personal Best was founded by Robin Gatt as a vehicle for her songwriting in Bristol in 2013. The original lineup included Tom Hussey (also of the band Attack! Vipers!) on bass and Lou Hanman (also of the band Caves) on drums. This trio recorded the debut EP released on Specialist Subject Records in 2014. On 30 March 2015, they released their debut album ''Arnos Vale'', recorded with producer and engineer Gethin Pearson in mid-Wales. In 2016, Lou Hanman and Tom Hussey left and were replaced by Jason Cavalier on drums and Tom Baker on bass. Bristol
Bristol () is a city, ceremonial county and unitary authority in England. ''The News'' is the only local paid-for newspaper in Portsmouth, England, and covers a wide area of south Hampshire. It is produced by Johnston Press, owners of Portsmouth Publishing & Printing, at their headquarters in North Harbour, Portsmouth, and printed in nearby Hilsea. Its official title is ''The News'', though it was formerly known as ''The Portsmouth Evening News'' and is still popularly referred to as ''The Evening News'' despite being printed in the early hours of the morning. Too Pure Records
Too Pure was a London-based independent record label formed in 1990 by Richard Roberts and Paul Cox. The label gained prominence after the release of PJ Harvey's debut album '' Dry'' in 1992, and subsequently found further success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums by indie rock artists such as Mclusky and Electrelane. The label was closed in 2008. History Too Pure started off as an experimental label and built its reputation by releasing primarily alternative/independent music which its founders felt was being ignored by major labels. At its inception Too Pure was largely preoccupied by the so-called Camden Lurch scene, through its 'Sausage Machine' night in North London (documented by its ''Now That's Disgusting Music'' (1990) compilation). Caves (band)
Caves are an English melodic punk band from Bristol. The lineup is based around the core duo of Lou Hanman (vocals/guitarist) and Jonathan Minto (bass/vocals). They have released albums on Specialist Subject Records, Yo-Yo Records, and Dead Broke Records. History Caves was formed by Lou Hanman (previously of Flamingo 50) after moving from Liverpool to Bristol, where Hanman met original drummer Dave Brent. After an initial lineup with Dave Brent's house mate Michael on bass, Jonathan Minto joined in 2010. They played Florida Punk festival The Fest for the first time in 2010 (the first of three years in a row). The same year they released their debut self-titled EP, and a four-way split 10" with Calvinball, Pure Graft, and Big City Plan.
