Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic
The WNB Golf Classic was a professional golf tournament in the United States on the Web.com Tour. It was played annually at the Midland Country Club in Midland, Texas, and the title sponsor was Western National Bank. It debuted in 1992 as the Ben Hogan Permian Basin Open at the Club at Mission Dorado in Odessa. The purse was $150,000 and the winner's share of $30,000 went to Taylor Smith on August 30. The course is now part of the Odessa Country Club. Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Texas, United States. A small part of Midland is in Martin County. At the 2020 census, Midland's population was 132,524. Byron Smith (golfer)
Byron Smith (born March 31, 1981) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Smith was born in Palm Springs, California and attended Pepperdine University. He did not play golf during his last two years at Pepperdine but he turned professional in 2001. Smith first played on the Canadian Tour in 2005 but did not break through until 2007. In his 2007 Canadian Tour season, he won twice, recorded five top-10 finishes, earned over $89,000 in earnings and won the Order of Merit title. The Order of Merit title win gave Smith a five-year exemption on the Canadian Tour. After a winless 2008 season, Smith won his 3rd Canadian Tour event at the Times Colonist Open in 2009. Garrett Willis
Garrett Michael Willis (born November 21, 1973) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Willis was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended East Tennessee State University where he was member of the golf team, a first-team All-American his senior year. He won the Canadian Amateur Championship in 1995. He graduated and turned professional in 1996. Willis began his career in professional golf playing on the Hooters Tour and in selected international events. He then moved up to the BUY.COM Tour (the precursor of the Nationwide Tour). Alistair Presnell
Alistair Presnell (born 26 March 1979) is an Australian professional golfer. Presnell was born in Melbourne, Victoria. Having won three amateur titles during 2003, he turned professional at the start of 2004 and joined both the PGA Tour of Australasia and Asian Tour Presnell finished tied for 5th at the 2004 Australian Open during his rookie season to secure his place on the Australasian Tour, and only just retained his Asian Tour card with 60th place on the end of season money list, the last place to guarantee playing rights for the following season. Brandt William Jobe (born August 1, 1965) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Champions Tour. He has also played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and the Japan Golf Tour. Early life and amateur career Jobe was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Nathan J. Smith (born August 7, 1983) is an American professional golfer. Smith was born in Santa Monica, California. He played at Soquel High and transferred to Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, where he also played golf two seasons. He played college golf at Duke University where he was a two-time All-American. Harris English
Harris English (born July 23, 1989) is an American professional golfer and currently a member of the PGA Tour. Amateur career Born in Valdosta, Georgia, English attended The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for high school, graduating in 2007. While at Baylor, English won a 2005 Tennessee individual state title, and won four Tennessee team state titles from 2004 to 2007. Committing as a high school junior to the University of Georgia in Athens, English played on the Bulldog golf team and graduated in 2011 with a business degree. Cameron Percy
Cameron Blair Percy (born 5 May 1974) is an Australian professional golfer. Percy was born in Chelsea, Victoria and turned professional in 1998. He joined the second-tier Nationwide Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) in 2005, but enjoyed little success and returned to Australia where he won twice on the developmental Von Nida Tour in 2006. Percy was back on the Nationwide Tour in 2008 and the following year finished in 8th place on the money list, having had eight top 10 finishes including two runner-up finishes, to graduate to the PGA Tour for 2010.
