Per Larsen (politician)
Per Larsen (born 27 June 1965 in Jerslev) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Conservative People's Party. He was elected into parliament in the 2019 Danish general election. Political career Larsen sat in the county council of the North Jutland County from 1998 to 2001. He also sat in the municipal council of Hjørring Municipality from 2002 to 2009. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was Landstinget. North Jutland (Folketing Constituency)
North Jutland ( da, Nordjylland) is one of the 12 multi-member constituencies of the Folketing, the national legislature of Denmark. The constituency was established in 2007 following the public administration structural reform. It consists of the municipalities of Aalborg, Brønderslev, Frederikshavn, Hjørring, Jammerbugt, Læsø, Mariagerfjord, Morsø, Rebild, Thisted and Vesthimmerland. Jerslev, Denmark
Jerslev is a small town in central Vendsyssel, Denmark. The town, which is part of Brønderslev Municipality, is located in the North Jutland Region. As of 2022, it has a population of 873. Every summer, ''Jerslev Marked'', one of the largest market festivals in the region of its kind, is held. The town has a primary school, kindergarten, and a small variety of shops. History During the Middle Ages, Vendsyssel was a single syssel: an administrative district which was further divided into Herreds. In 1231, one of these herreds was recorded as ''Jarlsefheret'', a name which implies that the town had been the seat of an earl (Danish: ''jarl''). The Conservative People's Party ( da, Det Konservative Folkeparti, DKF), also known as The Conservatives () is a conservative centre-right political party in Denmark. The party is a member of the European People's Party (EPP) and International Democrat Union. 2019 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament elections. North Jutland County ( da, Nordjyllands Amt) is a former county (Danish: ''amt'') in northern Denmark. It was located on the eastern half of Vendsyssel-Thy and the northernmost part of the Jutland peninsula. It was the largest county in Denmark, but with a relatively low population. Hjørring Municipality is a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in North Jutland Region on the west coast of the island of Vendsyssel-Thy at the top of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , making it the largest in Vendsyssel, and it has a total population of 67,121 (2008). The North Jutland Region ( da, Region Nordjylland), or in some official sources, the North Denmark Region, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform, which abolished the traditional counties () and set up five larger regions.
