Per Karlsson
Per Jonas Karlsson (born 2 January 1986) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Making his senior debut for AIK in 2003, he made a club record 455 appearances for the club and helped the team win the 2009 and 2018 Allsvenskan titles. He won two caps for the Sweden national team between 2010 and 2015. Club career He came through the ranks of Solna club Vasalunds IF and was picked up by AIK as a teenager. After coming through the academy at AIK he secured a regular starting-spot at AIK in late 2004, but broke his leg in beginning of 2005 against Väsby United which ruled him out for much of that season. When he became fit again he was loaned out to Väsby United, a feeder club to AIK, for the 2006 season. However, he broke his arm this time and wasn't able to play any matches for them. An exhibition game (also known as a friendly, a scrimmage, a demonstration, a preseason game, a warmup match, or a preparation match, depending at least in part on the sport) is a sporting event whose prize money and impact on the player's or the team's rankings is either zero or otherwise greatly reduced. 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship began on 15 June 2009, and was the 17th UEFA European Under-21 Championship. This was the first tournament after the competition reverted to a two-year format, following the single-year 2006–07 competition, which allowed the change to odd-numbered years. Sweden hosted the final tournament in June 2009; therefore, their under-21 team qualified automatically. Players born on or after 1 January 1986 were eligible to play in this competition. Qualification The qualifying draw split the nations onto 10 groups of 5 or 6 teams. The seeding pots are formed on the basis of former performance in the tournament. Ivar Gustaf Albert Sjöberg, best known as Gustav Sjöberg (23 March 1913 – 3 October 2003), was a Sweden, Swedish association football, football Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper who played for AIK Fotboll, AIK. He also represented Sweden national football team, Team Sweden in the 1938 FIFA World Cup in France. Daniel Tjernström
Leif Daniel Tjernström (born 19 February 1974) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is best remembered for his time with AIK which he represented between 1999 and 2013 and played 395 games for. A full international between 1997 and 1999, he won five caps for the Sweden national team. IK Sirius, more commonly known simply as Sirius, is a Swedish football club located in Uppsala. The club is affiliated to the Upplands Fotbollförbund. History Early success The club was formed in 1907, with its first success coming in 1924 when they reached the Svenska Mästerskapet final (not to be confused with Svenska Serien, which never acquired an official status of deciding the Swedish Champions). The 2020 Allsvenskan, part of the 2020 Swedish football season, was the 96th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. A total of 16 teams participated. Djurgårdens IF were the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season. The 2020 Allsvenskan season was scheduled to begin on 4 April and end on 8 November 2020 (not including play-off matches), but due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden the opening games of the season were delayed. On 4 June 2020, the Swedish government and the Public Health Agency of Sweden announced that the travel restrictions within Sweden were lifted. There were therefore no restrictions that were prohibiting resuming league play in Sweden and the Swedish Football Association announced, also on 4 June 2020, that the 2020 Allsvenskan season would resume on 14 June 2020. Superettan
Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. The second tier of Swedish football had previously consisted of a varying number of regionalized leagues operating under the Division 2 (1924–1986) and Division 1 (1987–1999) names.
