Per Eklund
Per Torsten Eklund (born 21 June 1946) is a Swedish Rally and Rallycross driver. His nickname is "Pekka". In rallying he never made it to the very top but he has been very successful in his later rallycross career. Biography Saab works drive After his education as a driving instructor, together with later teammate Stig Blomqvist at the ''Kvinnersta Folkhögskola'' outside of Örebro, Eklund was a Saab factory driver from 1970 till 1979. In 1982, however, the year after Saab discontinued its official rallying involvement, he achieved the brand's last top position in a World Championship event, finishing fourth in the Swedish Rally driving a privately entered, Clarion-sponsored Saab 99 Turbo. He was always proud of that result, since the competition consisted mostly of four-wheel-drive cars, and the event was run in snow. Eklund Motorsport
Since 2010 the Swedish motor racing team Per Eklund Motorsport has competed in rallycross events: the FIA World Rallycross Championship, the FIA European Rallycross Championship and the Global Rallycross Championship. Drivers on the team include Per Eklund, Ramona Karlsson, Henning Solberg, Toomas Heikkinen, Alexander Hvaal and Samuel Hübinette. Clarion (car Audio)
is a Japanese manufacturer of car audio, automotive navigation systems, AutoPCs, visual equipment, bus equipment, and communication equipment. It is since 2019 fully owned by Faurecia Clarion Electronics. Up until the end of 2005, products in Japan were marketed under the brand name AddZest, while outside Japan the same product typically carried the Clarion name brand. This was changed in 2006, and the brand "Clarion" along with a redesigned logo are now used worldwide. It is known for its close relationship with Nissan, which uses Clarion products almost exclusively in its vehicles. Nissan once owned a 6.25% share in Clarion, although that was reduced in 2002. Clarion has an OEM relationship with many automotive companies, providing car headunits and components to them for their production vehicles. The 2014 European Rallycross Championship was the thirty-eighth season of the FIA European Championships for Rallycross Drivers. The season consisted of five rounds, commencing on 24 May with the British round at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, and culminating on 28 September, at Italy at Franciacorta. The Supercar title was won by Sweden's Robin Larsson, while the supporting Super 1600 and titles were won by Sergej Zagumennov and Daniel Lundh respectively.
