Eklund Motorsport
Since 2010 the Swedish motor racing team Per Eklund Motorsport has competed in rallycross events: the FIA World Rallycross Championship, the FIA European Rallycross Championship and the Global Rallycross Championship. Drivers on the team include Per Eklund, Ramona Karlsson, Henning Solberg, Toomas Heikkinen, Alexander Hvaal and Samuel Hübinette. Per Eklund
Per Torsten Eklund (born 21 June 1946) is a Swedish Rally and Rallycross driver. His nickname is "Pekka". In rallying he never made it to the very top but he has been very successful in his later rallycross career. Biography Saab works drive After his education as a driving instructor, together with later teammate Stig Blomqvist at the ''Kvinnersta Folkhögskola'' outside of Örebro, Eklund was a Saab factory driver from 1970 till 1979. In 1982, however, the year after Saab discontinued its official rallying involvement, he achieved the brand's last top position in a World Championship event, finishing fourth in the Swedish Rally driving a privately entered, Clarion-sponsored Saab 99 Turbo. He was always proud of that result, since the competition consisted mostly of four-wheel-drive cars, and the event was run in snow. 2014 World RX Of Portugal
The 2014 World RX of Portugal was the opening round of the 2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship and the first ever round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Pista Automóvel de Montalegre in the Portuguese border town of Montalegre. Four of the seven stages of the round, including the final, were won by 2003 WRC champion Petter Solberg, with the young guns Bakkerud and Nitišs rounding out the podium for Olsbergs MSE. The 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy was the second season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
