Per Daniel Holm
Per Daniel Holm (11 September 1835, Smedjebacken - 7 August 1903, Stockholm) was a Swedish landscape painter. Biography His father, Alexander Holm, was a pastor at . He attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology until 1855, then became a mechanical draftsman for the , This was followed by a similar position at the zoological museum of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. From 1858 to 1863, he studied landscape painting at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, with Nils Andersson, and made numerous study trips to northern Sweden and Norway. In 1862. he was awarded a royal medal for landscapes of Lapland. He continued his studies in Düsseldorf, Munich, Karlsruhe and Paris. He was named a member of the Royal Academy in 1871, becoming a Vice-Professor of landscape painting in 1873, and a full Professor in 1881. Nationalmuseum (or National Museum of Fine Arts) is the national gallery of Sweden, located on the peninsula Blasieholmen in central Stockholm. Stockholm City Museum
The Stockholm City Museum ( sv, Stadsmuseet i Stockholm) is a museum documenting, preserving and exhibiting the history of Stockholm. The museum is housed in Södra Stadshuset at Slussen on Södermalm. The building was completed in 1685. In the 1930s the museum moved in and opened to the public in 1942. The museum is the largest municipal museum in Sweden, and houses collections which include 300,000 items of historical interest; 20,000 works of art and 3 million photographs. The City Museum closed for renovation January 12, 2015 and reopened on April 27, 2019. The museum is governed by the Cultural Affairs and Sports Division of the City of Stockholm.
