Pepsi Battle Of The Bands
''Pepsi Battle of the Bands'' is a Pakistani television series, originally based on the concept of Battle of the Bands, first aired in 2002 on PTV Home. The show was revived in 2017. Season 1 ''Pepsi Battle of the Bands: Season 1'' aired in July 2002 on PTV Home. The inaugural season was directed by Ahsan Rahim and Amena Khan, and produced by Nofil Naqvi. The winners were Aaroh, who beat runners up Entity Paradigm by a narrow margin. It also launched the success of many other bands who took part in the show, particularly Mekaal Hasan Band (which came in third) and Mizmaar. 170 applications were sent to the show's website out of which 70 were registered. The top 20 were selected on the basis of vocals, music and arrangements which was then narrowed down to the top 10. Mekaal Hasan Band (, sometimes shortened to MHB) is an international sufi rock band formed in Lahore, Pakistan in 2000 by composer, singer-songwriter and guitarist Meekal Hasan. Allan Fakir
Allan Fakir (1932– 4 July 2000) ( Sindhi: ''علڻ فقيرُ'', Urdu: ''علن فقیر''), was a Pakistani folk singer. He was particularly known for his ecstatic style of performance, marked with extreme devotional rhetoric and Sufi dance-singing. Early life Allan Fakir was born in 1932 in the Aamari in Jamshoro District, Sindh. Allan's mother died soon after giving birth. He spent his childhood in Manjhand, a town between Sehwan and Hyderabad, Sindh. He belonged to Mangrasi tribe. According to the traditions of this caste, Allan Fakir's father used to beat the drum and sing traditional songs at weddings and Faqir's brothers still do the same job. Irtiqa (Urdu: ارتقاء, literal English translation: ''evolution'') is the debut album by the Pakistani rock band, Entity Paradigm. It was originally slated for a 25 September 2003 release date, but was delayed to 1 October. Entity Paradigm released singles from ''Irtiqa'' which were "Hamesha", " Hamein Aazma", "Kahan Hai Tu", "Aghosh", "Waqt" and "Irtiqa III"; the videos for "Waqt" and "Irtiqa III" were directed by Xulfi himself. Singles like "Waqt", "Hamesha" and "Kahan Hai Tu" did well in the charts. Irtiqa was considered a critical and commercial success. Concept Irtiqa means 'progress' or 'evolution', and this album talks about progress in life. The cover of the album depicts a sketch of an unborn baby. Alamgir Haq, usually referred to as just Alamgir ( ur, ); born 11 August 1955), is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, guitarist, and one of the pioneers of pop music in Pakistan. His style of singing is inspired by playback singer Ahmed Rushdi and Elvis Presley. Early life Alamgir was born on 11 August 1955 in East Pakistan (present-day Bangladesh). His father, Farmuzal Haq, was a politician and a member of the All India Muslim League as Secretary of Treasury and later a member of Pakistan's National Assembly during the presidency of Ayub Khan. ''Vital Signs 1'' was the first album of the Pakistani band Vital Signs. Fresh from the success of their smash hit Dil Dil Pakistan Vital Signs went to work on their debut album, with Shoaib Mansoor providing the lyrics to all but 2 songs. Dil Dil Pakistan had unparalleled success, something which no song has ever been able to achieve in Pakistan, on its way to becoming one of the most famous songs ever written. Rohail Hyatt produced the album, his first shot at music production. He is now known as one of the best Music Producers in Pakistan. The Patari are a community found mainly in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, India. History and origin There are various theories as to the origin of the Patari tribe. According to the tribe itself, the Patari are by origin Gond tribals, who were ritual specialists and advisers to the Gond kings. They belong to the Devgond sub-division. Other sources, such as William Crooke claim that the Patari are actually of Majhwar origin, and descend from seven brothers, of which their ancestor Patari was responsible for the rituals and traditions of the other six Majhwar clans.
