Rhett Anthony Bernstein (born September 10, 1987) is an American former soccer player. In 2009, he won the Hermann Trophy. He played for Sevilla FC Puerto Rico, Mjøndalen, and Miami FC. Early and personal life Bernstein was born in San Diego, California, and is Jewish. As a teenager, he played soccer for the La Jolla Nomads. He attended University City High School in San Diego. Noah Bernardo
Noah "Wuv" Bernardo Jr. (born February 24, 1974) is an American musician, most notably the guitarist and drummer for Christian nu metal band P.O.D.. According to a FAQ, Bernardo is Filipino, Italian, German, and Chamorro. He is the first cousin of the band's frontman Sonny Sandoval. His father, Noah Bernardo Sr. started Rescue Records, which was P.O.D.'s first label. It has been announced that Wuv will be handling drum duties for the band StillWell, a side project of Fieldy, the bassist of metal band Korn. Wuv has been playing drums most of his life. During acoustic sets, he normally plays the rhythm guitar. He also has a side project called Southtown Generals, with Rasta Tim Pacheco. Wynton Bernard
Wynton Allen Bernard (born September 24, 1990) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies. Amateur career Bernard attended Rancho Bernardo High School in Poway, California. He received an athletic scholarship to attend Niagara University and play college baseball for the Niagara Purple Eagles. As a freshman, Bernard had a .293 batting average and led the team in stolen bases. He transferred to Riverside Community College after the season because his father had a stroke and he wanted to be closer to his family. Bernard's father died after his sophomore year, and he transferred back to Niagara for his junior year. Peter Berkos
Peter Berkos (born August 15, 1922) is an American former sound editor. He received the Special Achievement Academy Award during the 1975 Academy Awards for the film '' The Hindenburg''. This was for the Sound Editing of the film. In 1996 he received the Lifetime Achievement award at the Motion Picture Sound Editors awards. He also did the sound effects for the original '' Battlestar Galactica'', as well as the TV movies of '' Buck Rogers in the 25th Century''. Berkos retired from editing in 1987, but reinvented himself as a novelist, with books published in 2007 in 2013. He lives in Rancho Bernardo, California, and turned 100 on August 15, 2022. Rolf Joachim Benirschke (born February 7, 1955) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the San Diego Chargers from 1977 until 1986. He is probably most known for missing a potential 27-yard game-winning field goal in overtime of the playoff game known as the "Epic in Miami” but then getting a second chance and connecting from 29 yards with just 1:08 to go to win the game on January 2, 1982. In many ways that was almost like a metaphor for his life…having almost died from surgeries due to Crohn’s and then getting an unlikely second chance to live and play again. Kurt Benirschke
Kurt Benirschke (May 26, 1924 – September 10, 2018) was a German-American pathologist, geneticist and expert on the placenta and reproduction in humans and myriad mammalian species. At the San Diego Zoo, he created the world's first frozen zoo for the cryopreservation of genetic material from endangered species. Early life and education Benirschke grew up in Glückstadt, a small town in northern Germany. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Hamburg in 1948.
