Penrith District Rugby League
The Penrith District Junior Rugby League (PDJRL) is an amateur rugby league competition for senior and junior rugby league clubs in the Penrith, Blacktown, and Blue Mountains area. History The competition was founded in 1912 and grew gradually as more clubs from the surrounding areas entered the competition. The first Penrith club were the Waratahs and adopted the blue and white colours, playing out of Penrith Showground. When the Parramatta District Rugby League was formed all the teams from the Penrith and surrounding areas affiliated and played in the Parramatta League. It was initially known as St. Dominics RLFC but was rebranded as Penrith Brothers RLFC in 2003. On 22 March 2018, it was announced that Brothers Penrith would be fielding a team to compete in The Ron Massey Cup competition taking the place of The Auburn Warriors who became defunct. They also began fielding a team in The Sydney Shield competition for the 2018 season. History For the 2018 season, both of the Brothers Penrith teams in the Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield finished with the wooden spoon in their respective competitions with the Sydney Shield side winning only one game for the entire season. The Blacktown Workers Rugby League Football Club, also known as Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, are an Australian rugby league football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales formed in 1962. Since 2017 they have had a side in the NSW Cup, as the feeder team to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
