Pennsylvania Route 618 (PA 618) is a state highway located in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at US 6 in Sadsbury Township. The northern terminus is at PA 18 in Summit Township. Route description PA 618 begins at an intersection with US 6 in Sadsbury Township, heading north on a two-lane undivided road through woodland. The road continues through more forests with a few homes before reaching the residential community of Conneaut Lake Park, where it curves northeast and crosses into Summit Township. After passing through Conneaut Lake Park, PA 618 runs between the Park Golf Course to the west and a field to the east before ending at PA 18. Crawford Lakelands Scenic Byway
The Pennsylvania Scenic Byways system consists of 20 roads recognized for their scenic or historic qualities. History In 1991, the National Scenic Byways Program was created by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act, in which roads that were designated state scenic byways could be designated a National Scenic Byway. In the early 1990s, Pennsylvania used federal funding to create the Pennsylvania Scenic Byways program. The state underwent a State Scenic Byways study, with four byways created by the Pennsylvania State Legislature. In 2001, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Program Management Committee created a scenic byway program. Sadsbury Township is a township in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,762 at the 2020 census, down from 2,933 at the 2010 census. Geography Sadsbury Township is in western Crawford County. Conneaut Lake occupies the northeastern portion of the township, and the borough of Conneaut Lake is at the southern end of the lake, surrounded by the township but a separate municipality. Housing developments around the lake outside of the borough are part of the Conneaut Lakeshore census-designated place, which along with the lake extends north into Summit Township. The unincorporated community of Shermansville is in the northwestern part of Sadsbury Township.
