Pennsylvania Route 241
Pennsylvania Route 241 (PA 241) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The route runs from PA 441 in Conoy Township, Lancaster County, northeast to PA 72 in the city of Lebanon in Lebanon County. The route heads east from PA 441 to Elizabethtown, where it runs concurrent with both PA 230 and PA 743. PA 241 continues into Lebanon County and intersects PA 341 and PA 117 in Colebrook. The route heads northeast and forms a concurrency with U.S. Route 322 (US 322) before continuing to Lebanon. The route follows part of Legislative Route 280, which was designated in 1911. PA 241 was designated in 1928 to run from PA 441 in Marietta north to PA 72 in Lebanon, heading north to Maytown and west to Bainbridge before continuing northeast along its current alignment. The southern terminus was cut back to PA 340 (now PA 743) in Maytown in the 1930s, with the route south of there replaced by PA 340. Pennsylvania Route 283
Pennsylvania Route 283 (PA 283), officially State Route 0300 or SR 0300 due to the presence of Interstate 283 (I-283), is a state highway in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. A freeway for nearly its entire length, it connects Harrisburg to Lancaster, paralleling the old U.S. Route 230 (US 230, now partly PA 230). The route follows a generally northwest-southeast direction and is signed east-west. The number was assigned based on the function the route serves as a southeastern extension of I-283, but I-283 and PA 283 are not the same roadway; the two intersect at a partial cloverleaf interchange. Mount Joy Township is a township in northwestern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 10,753 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , all of it recorded as land. The borough of Elizabethtown borders the township to the southwest, and the borough of Mount Joy borders the southern end of the township. Unincorporated communities in the township include Bellaire, Aberdeen, Milton Grove, Anchor, and part of Rheems. Elizabethtown Station
Elizabethtown station is an Amtrak railroad station on the Keystone Corridor in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The station is served by Amtrak's ''Keystone Service'' between New York City and Harrisburg, and by the '' Pennsylvanian'' between New York and Pittsburgh. The station was built in 1915 by the Pennsylvania Railroad to replace another that had been built in 1900. The station building was closed in 1977 by Amtrak. The title to the building was transferred to the borough of Elizabethtown in 1998, and it was leased back to Amtrak. From 2009 to 2011, the station underwent a 21-month renovation to make it handicapped-accessible. The Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line is a rail line owned and operated by Amtrak in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Route 340 (PA 340) is a state highway located in Lancaster and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. The western terminus is at PA 462 in Lancaster. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 30 Business (US 30 Bus.) in Thorndale. The route is a two-lane road passing through rural areas, heading through the Pennsylvania Dutch Country in eastern Lancaster County that is home to several Amish families and rural areas in western Chester County, serving the communities of Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse, White Horse, Compass, and Wagontown. PA 340 intersects US 30 near Lancaster, PA 772 in Intercourse, PA 897 in White Horse, PA 10 in Compass, PA 82 in Wagontown, and US 30 again near Thorndale.
