Peggy Sue (band)
Peggy Sue is an English indie pop/ indie folk band from Brighton. The band has toured with a number of well-known indie artists including Mumford & Sons, The Maccabees, First Aid Kit, Kate Nash, and Jack White. History Peggy Sue was formerly known as Peggy Sue and the Pirates and Peggy Sue and the Pictures. In June 2008, the band announced that they were shortening their name from Peggy Sue and the Pirates to just Peggy Sue. The band have also released music under the name of Peggy Sue and the Pictures, a collaboration with Left with Pictures, and Peggy Sue and Les Triplettes. On 10 April 2009, it was announced that Peggy Sue had signed to US-based Yep Roc Records, and the label was releasing ''Body Parts'' EP for free. On 9 December 2009, Peggy Sue signed with Wichita Recordings, and the label released the band's debut album ''Fossils and Other Phantoms'' in April 2010. Amiens
Amiens (English: or ; ; pcd, Anmien, or ) is a city and commune in northern France, located north of Paris and south-west of Lille. It is the capital of the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France. In 2021, the population of Amiens was 135,429. A central landmark of the city is Amiens Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in France. Amiens also has one of the largest university hospitals in France, with a capacity of 1,200 beds. First Aid Kit (band)
First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo consisting of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993, respectively. When performing live, they are accompanied by a drummer, a guitarist and a keyboard player. In 2008, they gained some Internet popularity for their cover of the Fleet Foxes' song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". ''Rolling Stone'' magazine chose their song "Emmylou" as the number 10 "Single of the Year" in 2012. They have released five albums, four EPs and several singles. The Maccabees (band)
The Maccabees were an English indie rock band, formed in 2004 in London. They released four albums: '' Colour It In'' in 2007, followed by ''Wall of Arms'' in 2009, '' Given to the Wild'' which was released on 9 January 2012 and their last album '' Marks to Prove It'' released on 31 July 2015. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. Archaeological evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods.
