Pedro Gomes (footballer)
Manuel Pedro Gomes (born 16 October 1941 in Torres Novas, Santarém) is a Portuguese retired football defender and manager. Playing career Gomes spent his entire career with Sporting Clube de Portugal, going on to appear in 516 matches over 13 seasons (youth, friendlies and official), eighth-best at the time of his retirement. He was a member of the team that won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1963–64. In 1970, Gomes won the second Primeira Liga championship of his career, the first with his active participation. He retired in June 1973 at the age of 31, having earned nine caps for Portugal during six years; his debut came on 31 May 1964 in a friendly against Argentina, in Rio de Janeiro (0–2 loss). Torres Novas () is a Portuguese municipality in the district of Santarém, in the Médio Tejo of the Centro region. Taça De Portugal
The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Oceano Andrade da Cruz (born 29 July 1962), known simply as Oceano, is a Portuguese former professional footballer, currently a manager. John Toshack
John Benjamin Toshack (born 22 March 1949) is a Welsh former professional football player and manager. He began his playing career as a teenager with his hometown club Cardiff City, becoming the youngest player to make an appearance for the side when he made his debut in 1965. After establishing himself in the first-team, he went on to make over 200 appearances and scored 100 goals in all competitions after forming a striking partnership with Brian Clark. In 1970, he joined First Division side Liverpool, where he formed a noted forward partnership with Kevin Keegan and Steve Heighway that helped the club to win two league titles, the European Cup, the UEFA Cup on two occasions, the FA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
