Pavle Papić
Pavle Papić (1919, Antofagasta – 2005, Zagreb) was a Croatian mathematician. Papić graduated mathematics from the University of Zagreb where in 1953 he received his doctorate degree in mathematics under the supervision of Đuro Kurepa. From 1966 until 1968 he was a Dean (education), dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Zagreb, from 1968 until 1974 a director of Institute of Mathematics in Zagreb. Since 1977 he was a corresponding member of the Yugoslav Academy of Arts and Sciences and since 1994 a corresponding member of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. His interests were in set theory and general topology. He found necessary and sufficient conditions for metrizability and orderability of pseudometric space, pseudometric and ultrametric space, ultrametric spaces. References

Antofagasta
Antofagasta () is a port city in northern Chile, about north of Santiago. It is the capital of Antofagasta Province and Antofagasta Region. According to the 2015 census, the city has a population of 402,669. After the Spanish American wars of independence, Bolivia claimed Antofagasta as part of its territory. Despite having an overwhelmingly ethnic Chilean population, Chile recognised Bolivian sovereignty of Antofagasta in 1866, but in 1879 Chile recanted its recognition of Bolivian sovereignty citing a Bolivian breach of the latest boundary treaty. The Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography ( hr, Leksikografski zavod Miroslav Krleža or LZMK) is Croatia's national lexicographical institution. In mathematics, a pseudometric space is a generalization of a metric space in which the distance between two distinct points can be zero. Pseudometric spaces were introduced by Đuro Kurepa in 1934. Set Theory
Set theory is the branch of mathematical logic that studies sets, which can be informally described as collections of objects. Although objects of any kind can be collected into a set, set theory, as a branch of mathematics, is mostly concerned with those that are relevant to mathematics as a whole.
