Pavilhão João Rocha
Pavilhão João Rocha is a multi-sports pavilion located in Lisbon, next to the Estádio José Alvalade and it is the home of Sporting CP sports. The pavilion is named after João Rocha, a former club president who remained in office from September 1973 to October 1986. The inauguration took place on the day June 21, 2017. History Precedents In 1975, João Rocha, president of the club at the time, advanced with the project to create a sports complex near the Estádio José Alvalade (1956). On October 14, 1976, the Pavilion of Alvalade was born. This was, in fact, a sports complex, with 4 thousand square meters and three enclosures: the main pavilion, with capacity for 5000 spectators, and two smaller pavilions used for training. However, the work saw its life shortened dramatically due to the growth of the city of Lisbon and its transport network. Campo Grande (Lisbon Metro)
Campo Grande is an elevated interchange station on the Yellow and Green Lines of the Lisbon Metro. It has a large bus terminal at ground level and is located on Rua Cipriano Dourado just north of Avenida General Norton de Matos in the Lisbon parish of Alvalade, in the neighbourhood of Campo Grande. Fernando Medina Maciel Almeida Correia (born 10 March 1973) is a Portuguese economist and politician Socialist Party (PS) who has been serving as Minister of Finance in the government of Prime Minister António Costa since 2022. Alcochete
Alcochete () is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 17,569, in an area of 128.36 km². The municipality is composed of three parishes and is located in Setúbal District. Alcochete is known for its bullfighting tradition and its proximity to the second-longest bridge in Europe, the Vasco da Gama Bridge. The actual site of present-day Alcochete was already occupied during Ancient Rome, Roman times with a clay production facility. Bruno Miguel de Azevedo Gaspar de Carvalho better known as Bruno de Carvalho (born 8 February 1972) is a Portuguese sports commentator and DJ who was the 42nd president of sports club Sporting CP from 2013 to 2018. Estádio José Alvalade was a multi-purpose stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. The stadium was able to hold 52,411 people. It was inaugurated on 10 June 1956. Home venue of Sporting CP for 47 years, it was mostly used for football matches, but also athletics. It was named after Sporting founder José Alfredo Holtreman Roquette, known as ''José Alvalade'' after his family. José Alvalade borrowed money from his grandfather, the Viscount of Alvalade, in order to fund Sporting. It was closed in 2003, when the new Estádio José Alvalade opened.
