Paulina Rubio
Paulina Susana Rubio Dosamantes (; born 17 June 1971) is a Mexican singer, songwriter and television personality. Referred to as " The Golden Girl" and " Queen of Latin Pop", she first achieved recognition as a member of the successful pop group Timbiriche from 1982 through 1991. After leaving Timbiriche, she embarked on a solo career. Rubio has sold over 40 million records, making her one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. Rubio's first two studio albums, ''La Chica Dorada'' (1992) and ''24 Kilates'' (1993), were commercial successes and made her EMI Latin's best-selling Mexican female artist. ''Timbiriche'' (also known for a brief time as ''La Banda Timbiriche'') is a Mexican pop music group. The group started as a children's group in 1981 and managed to evolve successfully into adulthood. Timbiriche is considered one of the most iconic Latin Pop acts of the 1980s and the early 1990s. It was the start of numerous figures in the Latin American entertainment world, including successful singers like Thalía, Paulina Rubio and Edith Márquez, as well as actors, composers and conductors. ''El Tiempo es Oro'' (''Time Is Gold'') is the third studio album by Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio, released simultaneously on 21 March 1995 by EMI Mexico in 18 countries. It was recorded in the autumn and winter of 1994 in Madrid, Spain and Miami, Florida. Similar to her previous studio albums, Miguel Blasco was the primary producer, but featured new producers and collaborations including Marco Flores, Adrián Posse and Claudio Bermúdez.
