Paul Xiao Zejiang
Paul Xiao Zejiang (; born October 1967) was a Chinese Catholic priest and Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guiyang since 2014. Biography Xiao was born in Guizhou in October 1967. He was ordained a priest in 1994. Anicetus Andrew Wang Chong-yi
Anicetus Andrew Wang Chong-yi (26 October 1919 – 20 April 2017) was a Chinese Roman Catholic bishop. He came from a Catholic family and attended the boys' seminary of Guiyang, the capital of Ghizhou Province in southwestern China, and entered the Saint Paul seminary. Ordained priest on October 24, 1949, Wang Chong-yi worked in pastoral care in Meitan and Zunyi. Much later he was arrested during the Cultural Revolution and sentenced to nine years of forced labor in a forced labor camp. Only in 1979 he was allowed to work again as a pastor. Wang Chong-yi served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Guiyang, China, for the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association from 1988 until 2014. Wang Chong-yi was elected bishop of Guiyang in 1987 and was ordained as a bishop on 4 December 1988 in Beijing. Christianity is a minority religion in the Chinese province of Guizhou. Gha-Mu and A-Hmao are ethnic groups with large share of Christians. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guiyang and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nanlong have their seats in the province. Sam Pollard was a missionary of China Inland Mission, who was active among the A-Hmao. When the new government took power in 1949, Guizhou may have had about 40,000 Protestants. The current Protestant population is at about half a million. Christianity in Dafang and Christianity in Weining, which both mainly consist of Protestants, exceed 100,000. Guizhou (; formerly Kweichow) is a landlocked province in the southwest region of the People's Republic of China. Its capital and largest city is Guiyang, in the center of the province.
