Paul Davis (footballer, Born 1961)
Paul Vincent Davis (born 9 December 1961) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Davis was an integral part of the successful Arsenal side of the late 1980s, and early 1990s, winning the League Cup in 1987 and the First Division in 1989 and 1991. He also won the Cup-Double in 1993 and the Cup-Winners Cup 1994. Davis appeared in total 447 times for Arsenal, scoring 30 goals in the League and seven goals in the cups. Career Arsenal Born in Dulwich, London, Davis signed for Arsenal as an apprentice on 18 June 1979 and turned professional the following year. 1987 Football League Cup Final
The 1987 Football League Cup Final was a football match played on 5 April 1987 between Arsenal and Liverpool. The match, played in front of 96,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium, was won by Arsenal 2–1. Ian Rush opened the scoring for Liverpool with a side foot finish to the corner of the net, before Charlie Nicholas equalised, turning in a cross from the right in a crowded penalty area. Nicholas was credited with scoring the winning goal in the second half from a Perry Groves cross. His off-target shot deflected off Ronnie Whelan and was diverted past Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar's outstretched hand and into the left corner of the net. Steven Charles Williams (born 12 July 1958) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder for Southampton, Arsenal, Luton Town, Exeter City and Derry City. Club career Southampton Williams went to school at St Edward's Church of England Secondary School in Romford, East London. He started out as an apprentice with Southampton, having been a product of the Saints' London Selection Centre and joining the club straight from school. George Graham (footballer, Born 1944)
George Graham (born 30 November 1944), nicknamed "Stroller", is a Scottish former football player and manager. In his successful playing career, he made 455 appearances in England's Football League as a midfielder or forward for Aston Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Portsmouth and Crystal Palace. Approximately half of his total appearances were for Arsenal, and he was part of the side that won the Football League Championship and FA Cup "double" in 1971. Graham also made 17 appearances for California Surf in the NASL in 1978. John Hollins
John William Hollins (born 16 July 1946) is an English retired footballer and manager. He was initially a midfielder who, later in his career, became an effective full-back. Hollins, throughout his footballing career, featured for clubs such as Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, and Arsenal. Brian Ernest Talbot (born 21 July 1953) is an English former football player and manager. He was capped six times for the England national team. Talbot played in midfield for Ipswich Town, Arsenal, Watford, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Aldershot of the Football League, for non-league club Sudbury Town, and for the Toronto Metros of the North American Soccer League. Graham Rix
Graham Cyril Rix (born 23 October 1957) is an English former professional football player who later became a coach and manager. He is the current manager of Fareham Town. He played for Arsenal for thirteen years, then Brentford (on loan), Caen, Le Havre, Dundee and Chelsea. He also won 17 caps for England between 1980 and 1984. Rix then managed Chelsea (as caretaker), Portsmouth, Oxford United, Heart of Midlothian, Central and AFC Portchester. In 1999, Rix was convicted of having underage sex with a 15-year-old girl, and sentenced to 12 months in prison, of which he served six. Liam Brady
William Brady (born 13 February 1956) is an Irish former footballer. He found success both in England with Arsenal, where he won an FA Cup in 1979, and in Italy with Juventus, winning two Serie A titles. Brady was capped 72 times for the Ireland national team. Brady was a talented attacking midfielder renowned for his left foot and elegant technical skills such as his high-quality passing, vision, and close control, which made him an excellent playmaker.
