Paul Cronin (judge)
Paul Joseph Cronin is an Australian judge. He was a Judge of the Family Court of Australia from 20 December 2006 until 18 April 2019. Cronin studied law at Monash University while simultaneously working as a Clerk of Courts in Melbourne. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1980, whereupon he moved to Shepparton. He subsequently practised there for nineteen years, eventually specialising in family law, before being admitted to the bar in 1999. Family Court Of Australia
The Family Court of Australia was a superior Australian federal court of record which deals with family law matters, such as divorce applications, parenting disputes, and the division of property when a couple separate. Together with the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, it covered family law matters in all states and territories of Australia except for Western Australia, which has a separate Family Court. Its core function was to determine cases with the most complex law, facts and parties, to cover specialised areas in family law, and to provide national coverage as the national appellate court for family law matters. The Victorian Bar is the bar association of the Australian State of Victoria. The current President of the Bar is Roisin Annesley KC. Its members are barristers registered to practice in Victoria. On 30 June 2020, there were 2,179 counsels practising as members of the Victorian Bar. Those who have been admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Victoria, are eligible to join the Victorian Bar after sitting an entrance exam and completing a Bar readers' course. Susan Morgan (pen names: Zoe Barnes and Sue Dyson) (20 July 1957 – 31 October 2009) of Cheltenham was a best-selling English author of chick lit genre.
