Paul Brasch
Paul Brasch is a stand-up comedian from Brisbane, Australia. He has appeared on ''The Midday Show'', ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'', The Comedy Channel's ''Headliners'' and '' Stand Up Australia'', and various other television shows, as well as a stint on radio in ''The Paul Brasch Comedy Hour'' on Triple M. He collaborates occasionally with comics Chris Wainhouse and Davo on side projects. One of these projects was "Diablo" which was performed at the Adelaide Comedy Festival in 2006. "Diablo" was a show based on hate and had people walking out mid-performance. Brasch has been quoted as saying that some people are never meant to get some comedy or what would be the point. He recently completed his trilogy of comedy festival shows at the 2012...2013 and 2014 Brisbane Comedy Festivals. The Midday Show
''Midday'' (commonly referred to as ''The Midday Show'') is an Australian award-winning daytime television program, based on the variety format that aired on the Nine Network on 11 February 1985 until 27 November 1998. The show aired, like its title suggests, at noon, on a weekday schedule, and was a 90-minute variety programme with international and local guests. ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' was a long-running variety television program on Australian television. It initially ran for 28 years on the Nine Network from 9 October 1971 to 20 November 1999, with a recess in 1978. Its host throughout its entire run was Daryl Somers, who later also became executive producer of the program. The original producer, Gavan Disney, left the program in the 1980s and Somers then jointly formed his own production company, Somers Carroll Productions, with comedy writer and on-screen partner Ernie Carroll, the performer of Somers' pink ostrich puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich. The Comedy Channel (promoted on air as comedy) is a defunct Australian subscription television channel available on Foxtel, and Optus Television. The channel ceased broadcasting on 1 September 2020. ''Stand Up Australia'' was an Australian comedy TV program locally produced by The Comedy Channel from 2006 to 2008. It was hosted by Cameron Knight, and featured four Australian or international comedians on each one-hour show. Season two was produced in Melbourne, previously the first season was shot at Foxtel's Sydney studios located in North Ryde, where the set and studio was named "The Troubled Bison".
