Paul Bassey
Paul Bassey (born 9 July 1958) is a Nigerian sports journalist and sports administrator. He is also the Chairman of Akwa Ibom-based Akwa United. Personal life Paul Bassey is married to Helen. He has three children. He is a Christian and an ordained Elder of The Apostolic Church Nigeria. On 28 March 2020, his second son, Enoabasi Paul Bassey, got married in Lagos. Education Bassey had his primary school education at Saint Gregory's primary School Ikot Ebok, Eket (1964 to 1967) and Salvation Army Primary School Iyun Road, Lagos (1967 to 1969). After his primary school education, he proceeded to Saint Finbarr's College, Akoka, Lagos, for his secondary school education in 1970 and obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate in 1975. In 1983, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of Calabar. 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations Knockout Stage
The knockout stage of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations ran from 31 January, and ended with the final on 8 February. The matches were held in the Equatorial Guinean cities of Malabo and Bata. In the knockout stages, if a match was level at the end of normal playing time, extra time would be played (two periods of 15 minutes each) and followed, if necessary, by kicks from the penalty mark to determine the winner, except for the play-off for third place where no extra time was played. Dozy Mmobuosi, is a Nigerian businessman and tech entrepreneur. An advocate for technological advancement in Africa, he is the founder and former CEO of Tingo Inc. In 2023, the US Securities and Exchange Commission filed charges against him saying he had been attempting to defraud investors by inflating Tingo companies’ financial performance figures. Mamelodi, part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, is a township set up by the then apartheid government northeast of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Etymology "Mamelodi" is the name derived from the Sepedi word with the prefix being "ma" meaning mother, and the suffix "melodi" meaning melodies. Its meaning can be translated to mean ''Mother of Melodies''. History The township was established when 16 houses were built on the farm Vlakfontein in June 1953 and later the name changed to Mamelodi. The Group Areas Act designated Mamelodi as a blacks-only area, though this became moot with the fall of Apartheid in 1994. The 2016 CAF Champions League Final was the final of the 2016 CAF Champions League, the 52nd edition of Africa's premier club football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the 20th edition under the current CAF Champions League format.
