Patty Ryan
Patty Ryan (6 May 1961 – 23 July 2023) was a German singer best known for her Eurodisco song "You're My Love, You're My Life" from 1986. She also sang the hits "Stay With Me Tonight", "Love is the Name of the Game", and "I Don't Wanna Lose You Tonight" (all from her debut album ''Love is the Name of the Game''). Her style is similar to that of bands like Modern Talking, London Boys, and Bad Boys Blue. Some of the songs from her debut album resemble Modern Talking songs considerably, ''You're My Love, You're My Life'' (You're My Heart, You're My Soul), ''I'm Feeling So Blue'' (There's Too Much Blue In Missing You), and the song ''Chinese Eyes'' even is based around melodies from "You're My Heart, You're My Soul". She also sang Danuta Lato's hit "Touch My Heart". Wuppertal (; "''Wupper Dale''") is, with a population of approximately 355,000, the seventh-largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as the 17th-largest city of Germany. Matchbox are an English rockabilly band that formed in 1971, and is still active . Career Matchbox were formed in Middlesex, in 1971 by Iain "Houndog" Terry (born 1950), Fred Poke (born 1948), Jimmy Redhead (born 1954) and Wiffle Smith (born 1948). After 1978, the line-up consisted of Graham Fenton (lead vocalist), Steve Bloomfield (lead guitar, vocals), Gordon Scott (rhythm guitar), Fred Poke (bass guitar) and Jimmy Redhead (drums). Redhead left in 1973, Smith in 1977 and Lupton in 1978 to tour with Chuck Berry. Dick Callan joined Matchbox on guitar, saxophone and violin until approximately 1985, writing many of the band's B-sides. Danuta Lato (born Danuta Irzyk; 25 November 1963) is a Polish glamour model, actress and later singer. Career Lato was born Danuta Irzyk on 25 November 1963 (some sources giving the year 1965 instead of 1963) in the small village of Szufnarowa in Gmina Wiśniowa, Podkarpackie Voivodeship where she later worked as a kindergarten teacher. She married and divorced her first husband at the age of 20 after only a week's marriage. It was the first divorce ever in the village. Some sources claim her daughter Laura is from that weeklong marriage. Lato moved to West Germany in 1984 to pursue a modeling and film career, including a recurring role in Yehuda Barkan's series of Hidden Camera films.
