Pattukottai Periyappa
''Pattukottai Periyappa'' is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Visu. The film stars Lakshmi, Anand Babu, Mohini and Visu. The film had musical score by Deva. Plot The story potrays the rivalry between a rich arrogant women, Aranthangi Akilandeshwari(Y. Vijaya) and an ambitious lady, Jhansi (Lakshmi) (Jawahar nagar ladies club president). The ensue between them leads to cancellation of Pitchumani(Anand Babu) and Uma's(Mohini) marriage. Pattukotai Periyappa ( Visu), who is Pitchumani's uncle, tries to conduct the marriage against those women forms the rest of the story. Visu
Meenakshisundaram Ramasamy Viswanathan (1 July 1945 – 22 March 2020), best known by his stage name Visu, was an Indian writer, director, stage, film and television actor and talk-show host. Visu initially worked as an assistant to director K. Balachander until becoming a director himself. He later began acting, with his first film being ''Kudumbam Oru Kadambam'' (1981), directed by S. P. Muthuraman. Career He started his career as a theatre artist, working with Y. G. Parthasarathy's drama troupe. He was writing scripts for stage dramas before getting into the film industry as an assistant to legendary director K. Balachander. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. ''The New Indian Express'' is an Indian English-language broadsheet daily newspaper published by the Chennai-based Express Publications.
