Pattanapravesham
''Pattanapravesham'' () is a 1988 Indian Malayalam-language Detective fiction, detective Comedy film, comedy film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Sreenivasan. It stars Mohanlal, Sreenivasan, Karamana Janardhanan Nair, Ambika (actress), Ambika and Thilakan in the lead roles. It is a sequel to the 1987 film ''Nadodikkattu'', Mohanlal and Sreenivasan reprises their roles as Ramdas / Dasan and Vijayan, respectively. The plot follows Dasan and Vijayan who are now Criminal Investigation Department, C.I.Ds in Tamil Nadu Police, who are charged with investigating a homicide case. The film was produced by Kokers Films, Siyad Koker under the banner of Kokers Films. Just six months after the events of the prequel, CIDs Ramdas and Vijayan are called to Kerala to solve the murder of a police officer. Dasan And Vijayan
Dasan and Vijayan (or Ramadas and Vijayan) are the protagonists of the ''Nadodikkattu'' trilogy. The comical characters were created by directors Siddique–Lal and are portrayed by Mohanlal (Dasan) and Sreenivasan (Vijayan). They first appeared as unemployed workers, later becoming detectives by profession working in the Crime Investigation Department (India), Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Tamil Nadu Police, India. The characters first appeared in the 1987 black comedy film ''Nadodikkattu'' and later in its sequels ''Pattanapravesham'' (1988), and ''Akkare Akkare Akkare'' (1990). The first two films in the series was directed by Sathyan Anthikad and the later by Priyadarshan, the trilogy was scripted by Sreenivasan. Karamana Janardhanan Nair
Karamana Janardanan Nair (25 July 1936 – 24 April 2000) was a Malayalam film actor, who was active during the 1980s and 1990s. He was especially known for his character roles. He won wide acclaim especially for the role of the protagonist in Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Elippathayam (1981). He notably played the villain role along with Thilakan in '' Pattanapravesham''(1988). He played the lead role in the K. G. George directed film '' Mattoral'', supported by Mammootty, which was released in 1988. His last role was as Fr. Paulose in the movie FIR (1999) and died a year later. Personal life He was born to Karamana Kunjuveettil Ramaswami Iyyer and Bhargaviyamma on 27 July 1936. ''Nadodikkattu'' () is a 1987 Indian Malayalam-language satirical comedy film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Sreenivasan based on a story by the Siddique–Lal duo. It stars Mohanlal and Sreenivasan in the lead roles, along with an ensemble supporting cast featuring Shobhana, Thilakan, Innocent, Mamukkoya and Captain Raju. Palappurathu Kesavan Surendranatha Thilakan (15 July 1935 – 24 September 2012) was an Indian film and stage actor who appeared in over 200 Malayalam films.
