Patrik Gardesten
Brigadgeneral, Brigadier General Jan Patrik Gardesten (born 7 July 1967) is an officer in the Swedish Amphibious Corps. He currently serves as Chief of Navy (Sweden), Deputy Chief of Navy since 2022. Gardesten had previously served as commander of the 2nd Marine Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment (Sweden), 1st Marine Regiment (2010–2013), head of the J3 Operations Department (2016–2018) in the Joint Forces Command and as regimental commander of the 1st Marine Regiment (Sweden), 1st Marine Regiment (2018–2022) Early life Gardesten was born on 7 July 1967 in Motorp Parish, Kalmar Municipality, Sweden. Gardesten enrolled at the Kustjägarna, Coastal Ranger School (''Kustjägarskolan'') in Vaxholm Coastal Artillery Regiment for his Conscription in Sweden, mandatory military service in 1988. Berga Naval Base
Berga Naval Base ( sv, Berga örlogsbas) is a naval base of the Swedish Navy located in the Hårsfjärden fjard near Berga, Haninge Municipality. Today it is the home of the 4th Naval Warfare Flotilla, the 1st Marine Regiment and Home Guard unit Södertörn Group (''Södertörnsgruppen''). Vice Admiral Anders Jan-Eric Törnqvist (born 9 October 1959) is a retired Swedish Navy officer. Before his retirement in 2020, he served as the Chief of Joint Operations of the Swedish Armed Forces from 2016 to 2020 and as Commandant General in Stockholm from 2019 to 2020. Career Thörnqvist began his career at the age of fifteen in the Swedish Sea Cadet Corps. He was commissioned into the Swedish Navy in 1976 and served as a basic Private and Petty Officer afloat on various types of ships in the Navy, including Minesweepers, Destroyers, Fast Patrol and Picket Boats. Cold Response is the name given to Norwegian led military exercises with NATO member countries and invited Partnership for Peace countries held in Norway every second year. Cold Response 2006 The first exercises was the largest military exercise in Norway in 2006. Around 10,000 soldiers from 11 nations participated.
