Patrick McGinnity
Patrick McGinnity (born 18 February 1989) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited from the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) with the seventh pick in the 2008 Pre-Season draft, and made his debut for the club in round 15 of the 2009 AFL season. He was delisted at the end of the 2016 season, having played 93 games. He is now the current ground manager at Fermoy Estate and resides in sleepy Dunsborough. Early life McGinnity was born in Perth to Kevin and Delys (née Whittle) McGinnity. His father played 59 games for the East Perth Football Club, and his maternal grandfather, Alvin Whittle, played 108 games for the West Perth Football Club. Nicholas Maxwell (born 3 June 1983) is a former Australian rules football player and former captain of the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). 2011 AFL Season
The 2011 AFL season was the 115th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured seventeen clubs, with the newly established Gold Coast Suns, based in Gold Coast, Queensland, playing its inaugural season. The season ran from 24 March until 1 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the Geelong Football Club for the ninth time, after it defeated by 38 points in the 2011 AFL Grand Final. Ricky Petterd (born 24 July 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Petterd was drafted to with the 30th overall pick in the 2006 national draft. He is a state representative footballer from Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, Queensland who made his senior debut with Melbourne in round 5 of 2007, where he had 22 disposals in the midfield and featured in the Demons best player list. He followed up his first game performance with an AFL Rising Star nomination in round 6. While with Melbourne he had a season-ending injury in round 14 of 2007 against Carlton. He collapsed during the game and could not breathe. Two club doctors realised there was no time to send him to hospital and punctured his chest wall in the change rooms, allowing air to escape from his chest cavity.
