Patricio Cullen
Patricio Cullen (1826–1877) was the governor of provinces of Argentina, province of Santa Fe Province, Santa Fe, Argentina between 1862 and 1865. He was the second son of Domingo Cullen and Joaquina Rodríguez del Fresno. Cullen was born in the provincial capital Santa Fe, Argentina, Santa Fe. Simón De Iriondo
Simón de Iriondo (1836–1883) was an Argentine politician of the National Autonomist Party, who was twice governor of the province of Santa Fe, from 1871 to 1874 and from 1878 to 1882. Iriondo was also the Government Minister of governor Mariano Cabal and part of the cabinet of President Nicolás Avellaneda. After his second term in office, in 1883, he was appointed senator. As a governor, Iriondo supported the policy of colonization, as Santa Fe was scarcely populated at the time except for the large cities of Santa Fe and Rosario on the banks of the Paraná River. He founded a colony in the north of the province which become the present-day city of Reconquista. Santa Rosa de Calchines (commonly shortened to Santa Rosa) is a town (''comuna'') in the center of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It has 5,629 inhabitants per the . It lies 55 km northeast of the provincial capital, by Provincial Route 1, on the Calchines stream within the western banks of the San Javier River (a tributary of the Paraná). History The town was founded in 1816 as an Indian reduction, with the name of San Miguel de Calchines, under the control of Franciscan missionaries. In 1856 the priest in charge of the reduction calculated the number of resident natives as 3,000, and asked for a town to be established. The Saladillo Stream (Spanish, Arroyo Saladillo or Río Saladillo) is a small tributary of the Paraná River, that discharges into it between the cities of Rosario and Villa Gobernador Gálvez, in the . It serves as the political border between these two towns of the Greater Rosario area, and is one of the two important affluents of the Paraná in the area, together with the Ludueña Stream in the north.
