Patricia Álvarez
Patricia Álvarez Nárdiz (born 4 March 1998) is a field hockey player from Spain. Personal life Patricia Álvarez was born and raised in Santander, Spain. She is a student at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Career Under–21 Patricia Álvarez made her debut for the Spanish U–21 side in 2019 at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in Valencia. At the tournament she won a gold medal. Las Redsticks Álvarez made her senior debut for Las Redsticks in 2021 at the EuroHockey Championships in Amsterdam. She was named in the Spain squad for the 2021–22 FIH Pro League. Santander, Spain
Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. It is a port city located east of Gijón and west of Bilbao with a population of 172,000 (2017). It is believed to have been a port since ancient times, due to its favorable location, and is documented as far back as the 11th century. Much of the medieval city was lost in the Great Fire of 1941. Female (symbol: ♀) is the sex of an organism that produces the large non-motile ova (egg cells), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete during sexual reproduction. A female has larger gametes than a male. Females and males are results of the anisogamous reproduction system, wherein gametes are of different sizes, unlike isogamy where they are the same size. Women's FIH Pro League
The Women's FIH Pro League is an international women's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Women's FIH Hockey World League. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Olympic Games. The first edition was started in 2019. Nine teams secured their places for four years. Format Nine teams will compete in a round-robin tournament with home and away matches, played from January to June, with the top four teams advancing to the grand final at a pre-determined location. In July 2017, Hockey India decided to withdraw both the men's and women's national teams from the competition as they estimated the chances of qualifying for the Summer Olympics to be higher when participating in the Hockey Series. 2021 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2021 Women's EuroHockey Championship was the 15th edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international women's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the men's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands and was originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021. However, following the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled and takes place from 5 to 13 June 2021.
