Dorothy Smith (born 22 November 1972), better known by her stage name Patra, is a Jamaican reggae/dancehall singer. Career In her beginnings as a female dancehall Deejay (Jamaican), deejay in the late 1980s, she used the stage name Lady Patra. Patra first made an impression on the US record chart, charts as a featured singer on the Shabba Ranks song, "Family Affair", which hit No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1994. In 1993, Patra released her debut album ''Queen of The Pack'' (#1 on the Billboard charts#Top Reggae Albums, Reggae albums chart). Patra TV is a regional television station in the city of Patras, Greece. History The channel in the first period of operation had a long strike and television history. In 2001, with the change of ownership status, its technical equipment is completely changed. In 2006 the station started its first major problems with the consequent closure. Its unpaid employees occupied the station, broadcasting screens with their demands, but the ownership threw black on his signal from the mountains. Laleng
The Laleng, also known as the Patra ( bn, পাত্র, Patro) are a small indigenous ethnolinguistic group primarily living deep in the forests of Sylhet District and Moulvibazar District in Bangladesh. They speak the endangered Laiunghtor language. There are diaspora communities in the Indian states of Assam and Meghalaya. Most people living in Sylhet are even unaware of the existence of this minority community, although their presence dates back centuries, as they choose to stay hidden in the deep forests. Etymology The endonym of the community is Laleng, which means "stone" in their native language and they also use the terms ''Lalong'' and ''Lalung''.
