Patoka Township is one of ten townships in Gibson County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 11,527 (down from 11,864 at 2010) and it contained 5,309 housing units. It is the largest township in population, accounting for roughly 30% of the county's total population. History Patoka Township was organized in 1813. It took its name from the Patoka River. The Lyles Consolidated School was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Vincennes University (VU) is a public college with its main campus in Vincennes, Indiana, United States. Founded in 1801 as Jefferson Academy, VU is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Indiana. Princeton Community High School
Princeton Community High School is a four-year comprehensive secondary school in Princeton, Indiana, United States. The high school is a part of the North Gibson School Corporation. Until March 2016, the school operated a television station, W06BD, from studios at the high school. Princeton Community is the second largest of the three high schools serving Gibson County, Indiana. The North Gibson School Corporation is the second largest of the three public school governing institutions in Gibson County, Indiana, United States as well as one of the twenty largest in enrollment in Southwestern Indiana. State Road 64 in the U.S. State of Indiana is an east–west highway that crosses most of the southern portion of the state, covering a distance of about . The route parallels Interstate 64, which often causes confusion, as the widest distance between them is at its western terminus at the Wabash River and the two intersect at its eastern terminus near Georgetown.
