Pat Cahill is a British comedian and Chortle Best Newcomer winner 2012. Early life He was educated at the University of East Anglia. He began performing in 2009. At university he lived with fellow comedian John Kearns and radio DJ Greg James. Career He wrote and performed two podcasts for BBC Radio, ''Chick N Mix'' and ''Doggy Dilemma'' in 2012 as well as performing on BBC Three's '' Chris Moyles' Comedy Empire''. Cahill also took ''The Tim and Pat Show'' to Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2012. He returned to the fringe in 2013 with his show ''Start''. John Kearns (comedian)
John Kearns (born 10 April 1987) is an English comedian. He was awarded the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2014, following on from winning the Best Newcomer Award in 2013. He is the first and only comedian to have done this in the history of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Kearns' wins were also notable as both shows appeared on PBH's Free Fringe, making his 2013 win the first ever for a free show. In 2014 he was nominated for three Chortle Awards and was nominated in 2014 and 2015 for the Melbourne Barry Award. Early life Having grown up in Tooting, London, Kearns attended the University of East Anglia. In 2006, while at the university, he performed at Tom Moran's Laugh Out Loud comedy nights with fellow young student comedians Pat Cahill, Jon Brittain and Joz Norris. Greg James
Gregory James Alan Milward (born 17 December 1985) is an English radio and television presenter, comedian and author. He is the host of BBC Radio 1's breakfast show, co-presenter on the cricket podcast '' Tailenders'' alongside Felix White and James Anderson and writer of the ''Kid Normal'' book series alongside Chris Smith. Early life James was born to Alan and Rosemary Milward on 17 December 1985 in Lewisham, London. His parents were both teachers; Alan a headteacher, and Rosemary a special-needs teacher. BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series. The television channel closed down in 2016 and was replaced by an online-only BBC Three streaming channel. After six years of being online, BBC Three returned to linear television on 1 February 2022. Christopher David Moyles (born 22 February 1974) is an English radio and television presenter, author and presenter of ''The Chris Moyles Show'' on Radio X. Previously he has presented ''The Chris Moyles Show'' on BBC Radio 1 from 2004 to 2012 and '' Chris Moyles' Quiz Night'' from 2009 to 2012 on Channel 4. It was axed in 2006, being replaced by a nationwide talent hunt that places its emphasis on sketch writing and filmed performance. However, in March 2011 thBBC Radio New Comedy Awardwas relaunched in conjunction with BBC Radio 2, and ran as a joint project between Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 Extra. The current arrangement is for 4 Extra to broadcast the heats and semi-finals of the contest, whilst Radio 4 broadcasts the live final. Patrick Kielty
Patrick Kielty (born 31 January 1971) is a Northern Irish comedian and television personality. Background Kielty was born in County Down, Northern Ireland, and grew up in the village of Dundrum. He is one of three sons born to the businessman John "Jack" Kielty, who was shot dead on 25 January 1988 by the Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF), a cover name used by loyalist paramilitary group the Ulster Defence Association (UDA). John Kielty was to have been a key witness in Central Television's defence of a libel action brought by Jim Craig, who was suing the television company over a broadcast of ''The Cook Report'' which connected him to racketeering, and is said to have ordered John Kielty's murder. BBC Sounds
BBC Sounds is a Closed platform, walled garden streaming media and audio download service from the BBC that includes live radio broadcasts, audio on demand, and podcasts. The service is available on a wide range of devices, including mobile phones and tablets, personal computers, cars, and smart televisions.
