Pasir Mas District
Pasir Mas District is a district (jajahan) in Kelantan, Malaysia. The district covers an area of 614.15 square kilometers and is bordered by the districts of Tumpat District to the north, Tanah Merah District to the south, Kota Bharu District to the east, and the Thai district of Su-ngai Kolok ( ms, Sungai Golok) to the west. Due to its geographical location, it acts as the main gateway of the East Coast of Malaysia to Thailand and is also traversed by major road transport routes from the West Coast to the state capital of Kota Bharu. The district of Pasir Mas was originally part of the district of Kota Bharu. In 1918, the town of Pasir Mas and its surrounding areas were separated from Kota Bharu and granted its own local government. The seat of this district is the town of Pasir Mas. Rantau Panjang Railway Station
The Rantau Panjang railway station was a Malaysian railway station located near Jalan Besar and named after the town of Rantau Panjang, Kelantan. Opened in 1921, it is located on the Rantau Panjang branch line, branching off from the main KTM East Coast Line at Pasir Mas. Rantau Panjang is one of the two rail border crossings on the border with Thailand (the other is Padang Besar railway station in Perlis), though currently there is no cross-border train crossing the Malaysia–Thailand border at Rantau Panjang. The Thai entrance to the Harmony rail bridge is currently sealed off by the Royal Thai Army. Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station (KL Sentral) is a transit-oriented development that houses the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The Tumpat railway station is a Malaysian railway station stationed at and named after the town of Tumpat, Kelantan. It is also the northern terminus of KTM's East Coast Line. East Coast Line (Malaysia)
The East Coast railway line (ECRL) is the single track metre gauge runs between Gemas railway station, in Negeri Sembilan and Tumpat railway station, in Kelantan of Malaysia. Gemas is the rail junction between the West Coast line and East Coast railway line. Like the West Coast railway line, it is called the East Coast railway line (Malaysia) because it serves two of Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast states, namely Pahang and Kelantan. In fact, it does not run along the coast at all and only meets the South China Sea when it terminates in Tumpat railway station. KTM Intercity
KTM Intercity ( ms, KTM Antarabandar) are diesel-hauled intercity train services in Peninsular Malaysia, operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). Services operate along the East Coast Line between Tumpat and Gemas and on towards JB Sentral on the West Coast Line. The former Intercity services along the West Coast Line between Padang Besar in the north (and subsequent services to Thailand) and Gemas have been converted to the KTM ETS service. KTM Intercity has long enjoyed moderate success, but increasingly faces competition with road and air travel, as expressways (motorways) increase in number and budget airlines offer shorter travelling time. Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) (Jawi: كريتاڤي تانه ملايو برحد) or Malayan Railways Limited is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia. Pasir Mas Railway Station
The Pasir Mas railway station is a Malaysian railway station located at and named after the town of Pasir Mas, Kelantan. It is also the starting interchange of the disused Rantau Panjang Line. A new railway station which replaced the original railway station was completed in July 2008. From Pasir Mas there is a railway straight to Kuala Lumpur. The railway starts from Gemas. From Pasir Mas, there are several small stations en route like Temangan, Tok Uban and many more. This railway also connects to Kuala Kerai Station, one of the largest stations in Kelantan.
