Pasi Arvonen
Pasi Arvonen (born February 5, 1968) is a Finnish ice hockey coach. He is currently the head coach for HPK of the Finnish Liiga. On October 14, 2013, Arvonen replaced Kai Rautio to take over the head coaching duties for HPK Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho (HPK) is a professional ice hockey team in the Liiga, the top men's ice hockey league in Finland. Hämeenlinna (; sv, Tavastehus; krl, Hämienlinna; la, Tavastum or ''Croneburgum'') is a city and municipality of about inhabitants in the heart of the historical province of Tavastia and the modern province of Kanta-Häme in the south of Finland. Kai Rautio (born July 22, 1964) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman. Rautio played 12 seasons in the SM-liiga, registering 68 goals, 110 assists, 178 points, and 326 penalty minutes, while playing 535 games with four teams between 1985–86 and 1998–99. Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. The SM-liiga (marketed as just Liiga from 2013 on), (Finnish for ''League'') colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. It is one of the six founding leagues of the Champions Hockey League and currently allocated five spots - the maximum number - based on success in previous editions. It was created in 1975 to replace the SM-sarja, which was fundamentally an amateur league. The SM-liiga is not directly overseen by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, but the league and association have an agreement of cooperation. SM is a common abbreviation for ''Suomen mestaruus'', "Finnish championship".
